    Nice Thread....

    What i think :
If SomeOne is Technically sound and he can understand or speak “BASIC” English, then it’s not an Hindrance.

    Now a Days,
English is a Global language; Having Good Knowledge of English is an “ADVANTAGE”.

and Except from English, there are many more Things that effects "Good Life and Career".

    Well from my side,i think

Good Moral Values and understaning Results to -->Good life
    and
Professionalism and Dedication Results to -->Good Career/Success.

Friends ,Please correct me if i am wrong or skipped out something.
This is a nice thread and am expecting Good knowledge sharing through this thread.

    Thanks,
    Jaglan !

I would rather say.. Good Education & Knowledge is a must..

It's sad that we north Indians, particularly our community, fairs below average when it comes to communication skills, than our south Indian counterparts. Our atmosphere, school n college doesn't encourage to hone comm skills. Our own fellow friends discourage us & make a mockery of the situation, if we trn pick up few lines of angrejji..

ak ghana angreej na pakke tu eeb...

bhai sara fark mahaul ka hai, angrejji apne aap aa e jaya karei.... bakki padhai likhai jaruri hai student life me...
kachchi pakki angrejji bol ke apni baat convey kar do interview me, itna hi expect kiya jata hai engg ke interviews me..

Nice thread...........I am totally agree with you Prikshit...Why are we slave of English? This is the question which can be answered byour great politicians.....after independence, i think It was officially announced that Hindi would replace English but Britishers have sown its seeds so deeply that it could not be done so easily. Hence it was decided that hindi would be introduced gradually but I think our government is so slow that 64 years have passed but till now no one is able to study in hindi till graduation. No country except some poor like India give importance to English........Take example of China, Korea and Japan....where no one learnsenglish like Indians who treat english speakers highly qualified. I really feel shame when our MPs speak English in parliament, at leastthat place should be reserved for only Hindi or any native language .English is made up of only 65000 words but our National language consists of more than 8,00,000 words. Having so less quantity of words available......most of the words have multiple meanings which lead to misunderstandings. That is why English is known to be a language used by fools. We are also fool that we are discussing the topic in english..........but time has put constraints on us.....Typing in Hindi takes more time.I really salute the person who knows Hindi very well !!!! We all are slave of English and we can free ourselves from this only when ourCountry become independent. I think Service sector contributes around 60 percent to GDP and major portion of service sector includeIT & BPO for which we depend on other countries.Government is boasting of developmet but the innocent ppl of india dont know at what cost the currentdevelopment is happening? Government takes too much debt from outside for development. Also the black money of indians(what is deposisted into Swiss banks etc.) gets into country again by way of FDI. It is a good development and we are on right track of becomingself-sufficient.I think there is no escape from slavery of English. This would remain in our country forever.

English tou aik basic level ki requirement hai presentday world men. The new generation kids would be fluent in Other Foreign languages apart from the English. Modi is trying for Mandarin in Gujarat. Aur humaari sarkaari machinery bhi english kahi prayog karti hai. Some years back, i had to call Indian Embassy & i started talking in Hindi, the guy on the other end (North Indian) asked me if i didn't knew English. Maine bhi puuch liya ki Ye British Embassy hai kya?

    Very Nice...

When it comes to competitive Environment and cut throught competition ,in order to WIN at any cost ,we need to know other's strategy and their mindset, customs and culture without telling them our ideology and love for

This is like Being Professional to WIN the war for our country and People.

we can teach them how to learn/speak HARYANVI in ENGLISH when we can better understand their Language and customes

like we can teach them K for KATDA (काटडा) ,not KITE .

The Reverse cycle Phenomenon(18 century Policy by British).

    why dont we learn hindi

English has become a basic requirement for every kind of job, business or profession etc. The reason is Britishers changed our education system and they have sown their english seeds so deep that in present, situations have deteriorated so much that without english one cannot earn his livelihood.

Brother Deependra.....I am not comparing English with Hindi....I just put my views on the topic of " Requirement of Knowing English" .......... before arrival of Britishers.........Was there any person who used to Speak English.....Most of the indians used to speak Hindi before their arrival. So mention of Hindi is natural when one talks about the necessity of english.

One has to accept this fact that we are suffering from slavery of english.....Those who feel proud of knowing should consider that english is not our language.........we have imported it from Britishers or you can say they had imposed on us.One should ask question Why people dont learn Hindi? Hindi does not have enough scope for getting jobs...Its scope is limitedas our own industries dont prefer Hindi speakers. So English is required as our industries have become accustomed of english( From Britishers time) and most of the technologies used are also in english......hence our own domestic industries requires us to be familiar with english.....
