We have all seen the Congress party and its seriousness on issues related to corruption, communalism (muslim appeasement), nepotism, crime, going soft on terrorism and terrorists (Afzal Guru, Kasab, Hasan Ali, etc.). Can we actually trust it for Jat reservation especially so in light of the past broken promises including the ones given by Mr. Hooda (our Jat CM who forgets he is a Jat when he comes to power).
Well, I don't find BJP or the Lok Dal any different especially in light of BJP's decision of siding with the ANTI-JAT HJC of Kuldeep Bishnoi in the state election to few assembly seats in the recent past. However, on the whole, I still find BJP a lesser evil in terms of its open support to such issues as Common Civil Code (Same civil and personal laws for Muslims, Hindus and others), harsher anti-terror laws and their implementation, no dynastic rule (unlike the Congress party), etc.
We as a community need to come together and make our voice heard.
Jats are not better off than Yadavs or Gujjars in Delhi/NCR. The decision to keep Delhi Jats out of Union list of OBCs is a decision which is not only politically motivated, but also highlights the deep-rooted bias and prejudice against Jats. Anyone who speaks rudely in Haryanvi dialect and behaves improperly automatically is a Jat. Well, we need to come together under the umbrella of the Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti or any other credible Jat organisation standing for the cause of reservation for Jats and form a STRONG HOMOGENEOUS VOTING BLOCK, ensuring that we all go out and vote the party and candidate to power who wholeheartedly, openly and truly supports Jat reservation and will help us achieve it on ground not only in the state list, but also in the Central list.
In the meantime, what we can do in the absence of reservation is that we can support fellow brothers in our respective fields. Counseling and guiding the adolescents and school goers and College students on the various career options available and then, how to achieve their career goals. It is in fact a said state of affairs that despite Jats getting OBC benefit in Delhi, the same OBC seats in various DU and other university colleges go vacant, including seats in professional courses. A major reason for this state is the indifference among our urban community members towards their brothers in the villages. Also responsible is the feeling or thinking that no-one should attain or achieve the same level as they have. What is good about Punjabis and other communities is that they help each other enter and rise in their respective professions and that too silently without making too much noise about it or without making it too obvious.
Well, if driving cabs and being security guards is an indication of being developed, then the majority of Delhi/NCR Jat population is developed. We need to KICK this Congress govt. hard in the back.
