    Why I am an Atheist

As regard the origin of God, my thought is that man created God in his imagination when he realized his weaknesses, limitations and shortcomings. In this way he got the courage to face all the trying circumstances and to meet all dangers that might occur in his life and also to restrain his outbursts in prosperity and affluence. God, with his whimsical laws and parental generosity was painted with variegated colours of imagination. He was used as a deterrent factor when his fury and his laws were repeatedly propagated so that man might not become a danger to society. He was the cry of the distressed soul for he was believed to stand as father and mother, sister and brother, brother and friend when in time of distress a man was left alone and helpless. He was Almighty and could do anything. The idea of God is helpful to a man in distress.

If I am not wrong, Honorific use of word 'Sardar' before the name of a Sikh is used in the same way as Chaudhary for a Hindu Jat or Thakur and Lala or Piundit for Rajput, Trader or Brahmin respectively. Its use does not prevent anyone from supporting or not the ideology of a person.

    You didnt get it!

You guys were calling him Athiest and support the phiolosphy then how come he was both sikh and athiest? Sardar (unless an official title) is used for male sikh follower.

    You are right to say that usually "Sardar (unless an official title) is used for male sikh follower.'' {Exception Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, First Dy. PM Of India.}

Further, Why I am an atheist? is a write up by Bhagat Singh himself; so none is saying so or rejecting it.

Here ends the issue of discussion.

my post was just a casual post. Further sardar is widely used across various communities like persian , marathas etc. it is also used as a rank even a village mukhiya is called sardar. it is also used as a respect giving word like sir . i dont think jat has this title. in my part we use sardar = sikh. to jat sikh we call jat sardar. due to the wider usd of this among sikh community it is used for th em now. it is equally used for non jat sikh. valabh bhai got the title sardar because of his rank and authority , i think even though it was unofficial.

On the contrary, when you ask it from any random sikh jat/t, he'll play a different tune. And they don't associate themselves with us, say it's different, god knows for what reason. It always disappoints me, knowing this, when i enter into such conversation with my sikh jat/t friends in an attempt to stike a brotherly conversation. And they hardly take reciprocative initiative.

God knows, why bhappe's have polluted their brains. We should try bringing them to JL platform, make them understand we are same, it's only just that you're in a different track of faith/spiritualism, but our race/customs/traditions are all one and the same & there can be no unity at all, until we both see eye to eye.

    Friend,

It would be in fitness of things to understand the totality of the issues involved and not to allege any other person or group for the issues on which none has control. Moreover, first forge unity in our own house and then move forward to reclaim others as ours own. If it is done then your suggestion could be put before the owners of Jatland.

Remember the damage caused to the social fabric of the Punjab caused by Shudhi Movement and counter movements during the last century.

    regards.

Well, to some extent they are right because they have different culture (language and religion are very important part of culture) and they are Panjabi whereas we are not.

Its not good to blame Bappas without even understanding the matter. Are they so fool that someone can pollute their mind and that too in today’s age of knowledge? The matter of the fact is they themself decided to follow these so called bappas (Khatri Tribe). Majority of our customs are same but not all.

And why do you go that far even in Haryana people are divided on deswali and bagri etc even they don’t consider themself one.

The best approach is to recognise the differences and work through them. Sweeping them under the carpet or putting blame on someone else won’t help.

This is the beauty of the Indian culture and civilisation that it honours Unity in diversity and diversity in unity. So everyone must try to follow it.

The difference of religions has created a huge gap in Hindu and Sikh Jats. Yes, no doubt Hindu and Sikh Jats are same in all aspects (excluding religion), but difference of thinking is there for sure. If Sikh Jats think they are superior than the Hindu Jats or vice-versa, then I fail to understand as to why they think so. Upto 12-15 years back mostly Hindu Jats often used to boast of Dara Singh and Dharmendra/Sunny Deol as Jat heroes because Hindu Jats didn't have any famous celebrity then (maximum they had Ch. Charan Singh), but in last 12-15 the scenario has totally been changed. The hard work of Hindu Jats has born fruit upto some extent. I now feel it childish when I told the names of abovementioned Jat heroes to my non-Jat friends to feel proud among them. Now Hindu Jats also are not far behind. In fact, we have produced not only national level, but world level personalities too. In cricket, in other sports, in corporate world, in agriculture and in what not, we have left Sikh Jats far behind.
One thing I notice is don't know why always we (Hindu Jats) have to try to associate ourselves with the Sikh Jats. The Sikh Jats don't look so eager to attach themselves with us (Hindu Jats) on mostly occasions. If they do so then it will be good for all Jats. We Hindu Jats are almost 10 times more in quantity than the Sikh Jats. It is supposed that there are 7-8 crore Jats in India (120-140 lacs in U.P., 75-85 lacs in Rajasthan, 65-70 lacs in Haryana, 15-20 lacs in Delhi and so on in other states like M. P., H. P., Uttarakhand, Maharashtra etc., rest scattered in different regions of the country) among which only 70-75 lacs should be Sikh Jats. Yet, don't know why the Sikh Jats don't look highly eager to come closer to the Hindu Jats. We shouldn't forget 'United We Stand, Divided We Fall'.

  30. #40
who says sikh jatts are not eager to associate themselves with Hindu Jats. Here is a jatt website that compiles list jatt icons, just count how many of them are Hindu jats
