Jat Sikh and Hindu JAT are same = JAT ..!!!!!!

It is a well known fact that JAT SIKHS and JATS are one

Sikhism is just a religion which was adopted by most of the castes in Punjab i.e. United Punjab(Punjab,Haryana,Himanchal pradesh.Pakistan-Punjab province)

The 'Tilak', 'Tarazu' and 'Talwar' (Brahmin, Bania and Thakur) nexus never wanted the common man to know this, and that is why extortions of our history by these.

Jat-Sikhs are descended from mostly Hindu and some Muslim Jats who converted to Sikhism.

Jats started to follow the teachings of Guru Nanak in small numbers and this grew after the formation of the Khalsa. They converted en masse to Sikhism from the time of Banda Singh Bahadur, and formed the vanguard of Sikh resistance against the Mughal Empire from the 18th Century onwards.

At least 7 of the 12 Sikh Misls (Sikh confederacies) were led by Jat-Sikhs.

"Sikhism …which drew its adherents from all classes, each of which possessed distinctive manners and customs; the social and numerical preponderance of the Jats, however, carried such weight in the formation of the national character, that the customs of the Sikh, whatever his origin, may now be considered as practically identical with those of the Punjab Jat".

Jat Sikh (also Jat Sikh) is a sub group of the an ethnoreligious group from the Indian subcontinent, knows as Sikhs. There are nearly 11 million Jat Sikhs in South Asiamostly in Punjab, where they comprise 42.5% of the population.

The Sikh Jat is generally tall and muscular, with well shaped limbs, erect carriage, and strongly marked and handsome features. The Jat Sikhs have always been famous for their fine physique and are surpassed by no race in India for high-bred looks, smartness, and soldierly bearing. They make admirable soldiers, when well led, inferior to no native race in India, with more dogged courage than dash, steady in the field, and trustworthy in difficult circumstances. The mass of Jat Sikh population may fairly be said to be contented and law-abiding.

The Jats of the Punjab proper (in modern Punjab almost all of them belong to the Sikh faith) have been truly described as the backbone of the province by character and physique, as well as by numbers and locality. They are stalwart sturdy yeomen, of great independence, industry, and agricultural skill, and collectively form perhaps the finest peasantry in India. "Sturdy independence, and patient vigorous labour, are perhaps the strongest characteristics of the Jat Sikhs. The typical Jat Sikh is faithful and true to his employer, seldom shows insubordination, and with a good deal of self-esteem has a higher standard of honour than is common among most Orientals.

I agree with Sandeep. There shouldn't be more than 24-25% Jatts in Indian Punjab as a big part of them has moved to abroad and Bhiharis and Easterners have settled in Punjab in big quantity at present. 9-10% Jatts should be in Pakistani Punjab.

    .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .......
In 2001, the proportion of Dalit population was 16.2 percent of India's total population. The Dalit population is broadly distributed across Indian states and districts. In 2001, the state of Punjab had the highest proportion of its population as Dalit, at about 29 percent, and the state of Mizoram had the lowest at nearly zero.

I often found mostly of our Punjab's Jat brothers living in some high misunderstanding and sweet dream/denial. This information is also interesting regarding Punjab.
    .................................................. .................................................. ................................
According to the 2011 Indian Census, the population of Indian Punjab is 27,704,236 (Males 14,634,819 & Females 13,069,417) The Indian state of Punjab is 60% Sikh and 37% Hindu. There is a small Muslim population still living there, especially in Malerkotla. The Jat Community account for 20% of the population and dalits 30%. In recent times, there is growing concern in the state about the immigration of labourers from other Indian states such as Orissa, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Around 15–20% of Punjab's population is now made up of migrants from other states.

    .................................................. .................................................. .................................

If this information is true then it's a matter of deep concern for all Jats. I am doubted about it that Jats will continue dominating Punjab in future too.

In spite of adherence to various faiths or religions be it Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Islam or Christianity, a Jat remains a Jat and hence kinship is the connecting bond among the Jats. Clan names go on clinging to the Jat name even after adoption of different faiths or religions. Therefore, none can challenge or deny the clan-community affiliations of the Jats.
Moreover, the Constitution of India accepts Sikhism as one faith and part of Hinduism as is the case with Buddhism and Jainism too which also arose as reform movements in the then Hinduism. More than politics, several other factors too contribute to wedge differences among various castes and communities therefore we must avoid falling prey to the divisive forces and try to contribute our humble mite to strengthen the multi cultural fabric of our nation.

Surdeep Singh Bajwa, I appreciate your thinking. I have a perception that mostly Sikhs have the wish of Khalistan in deep of their heart. I am doubtful about our current PM too. I think he would also like separate Khalistan for the Sikhs if he feels ever this dream come true. I have had several Jatt friends and through them I have been in contact of other Jatts too. What I found mostly of them had wish of separate Khalistan, not all though. But people like you (off course KPS Gill, Ajit Singh Sandhu like people too) make me time and again to change my thinking.
I will happy if there are 30+% Jatts in Punjab, but Wikipedia is a world famous website. It's information is highly authentic. There is just 0.1% chance of wrong information. And these Biharis and alike have shuffled the equations of Delhi too. Delhi's population is around 1.70 crores and 52 % Delhi lives in slum (mostly Biharis and alike). So they are almost 35-40% in Delhi. In same fashion they are now flooding Punjab (population around 2.77 crores). If this trend goes on they can shuffle the equation in Punjab too.

most of them are weakend and situational Khalistani means some time they try to show there anger against 1984 and bluestar operation by showing there hate against india and some time they think its cool to be Khalistani ..most of these guys are from semi urban and upper middle class families but they are not more then 3-4%....in recent election pro khalistani parties got 0.78% of vote share ...i find it out from where u get that date about jat population of punjab from http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/people...ce-punjab.html it is bit of hardline sikh website so they always manipulate true figers.... every state level population census show jat sikh population in punjab is around about inbetween 29% to 32% and there are also large no. of jat sikh who don't disclose their caste because they think casteism is against sikhism....immigrant population in punjab is not more the 3.5% state population census show that and it is reducing and now there is bigproblem of labour shortage in punjab....dalit population in punjab is around 34% but they are futher divided into 39 subcastes ........

    Copying some lines from Wikipedia

    Bhagat Singh,
    Why I am an Atheist

As regard the origin of God, my thought is that man created God in his imagination when he realized his weaknesses, limitations and shortcomings. In this way he got the courage to face all the trying circumstances and to meet all dangers that might occur in his life and also to restrain his outbursts in prosperity and affluence. God, with his whimsical laws and parental generosity was painted with variegated colours of imagination. He was used as a deterrent factor when his fury and his laws were repeatedly propagated so that man might not become a danger to society. He was the cry of the distressed soul for he was believed to stand as father and mother, sister and brother, brother and friend when in time of distress a man was left alone and helpless. He was Almighty and could do anything. The idea of God is helpful to a man in distress.
