Exclamation New Jat Gotras which I came to know !!

    I am studying in Delhi.
I came to know about 2 new Jat Gotras which I heard for the first time.
    First one is BACHCHISH.
    Second one is MATHUR.

I have a friend hailing from Uttar Pradesh. He is basically fro Bulandshahr. Maybe there are some villages in Bulandshahr where there BACHCHISH gotra exist.

Second case is quite interesting. I often heard Mathur is surname of Kayastha caste.
But there is a village named "Karala" in Delhi where there are many people with MATHUR gotra.

Really JAT is big community with many gotras.
We are proud to be Jat & thanks our ancestors for well defined Khap panchayat system as well as Gotra system.

If someone has details or comes across further reference about it and posts it here, it would be a great service to the society.

Meaning of last line is very simple.. Khap panchayat is the essence of Jat community .. Khap panchayat basically takes decisions pertaining to the Gotras.
Unlike other castes where there are very few gotras,, we are proud that that we have many gotras so diversity exist in our community.

We have not created any new gotras, but they were created by our ancestors.. So after hearing about two new gotras viz. Bachchish & Mathur I wanted to thank my ancestors. Where I have deviated from the topic ?

My thoughts based on what I have read:

Bachchis is a variant of Bachchas, which itself is variant of Vats. It is commonly known that for some time Chauhans were associated with this gotr.
Mathur origin, as my understanding, is originally a resident of Mathura.

There's a Jatt surname in Punjab known as Jaspal. Though a wiki page exists for this gotra, no info like village name etc has been added. I will try searching for more info and possibly improve that page.
