    Dr Saab,
Thanks. Hopefully, it will help some qualified Jat fellows to get employment as 140 vacancies are mentioned in advertisement.

Is walk-in-interview common practice in universities to recruit professors or is it only for filling temporary positions? Second thing, which one is the best university (not institutes) in India in terms of reputation, professional growth, package, infrastructure and so on, is it JNU Delhi? I am asking you because you are from academia and may have better insight about the system.

    Friend,
Appointment of regular faculty takes a long period of time so, Walk-in-Interview system has become a common practice in several universities to fill up temporary vacancies to cope with the immediate need of the staff on the onset of new academic session.

Universities and Colleges are assessed by NAAC, Bangalore on the basis of 7 point criterion and accreditation is granted for a period of 5 years after which it has to be renewed. Package of central and state University teachers/including aided affiliated college is the same throughout the country.
Since various departments/faculties combine to make a university, different universities excel in one department and the others in some different faculty or department which earns them reputation and professional growth at one time or the other. Infrastructure continues to grow in the developing and newly established universities with faster speed initially and then it reaches a certain level after which infrastructure growth becomes a routine affair tagged with availability of funds. So this also differs among intra-university level and also inter-university level.

Only NAAC accreditation certificate shows the overall position of the Universities overall standing and according to it Guru Jambheswar University of Science and Technology Hisar is 'A' grade University. Same criteria could be verified for judging the standing of other universities in the country.

    Thanks
