2 August is the death anniversary of Baldev Ram Mirdha who was a great crusader and fought for emancipation of the Jats in particular and toiling masses in general throughout his life. Visit given JatLand wiki link for details of his life and achievements.

The importance of the life and work of late Mirdhaji becomes clearer to those who have had to live under the feudal lords age and also had to fight for their right to contribute to the gradually growing national consciousness. Mirdhaji, in spite of having an important official assignment under his belt, reconciled his duty towards community and the government and achieved great success in both the fields.
Hats off to him for his efforts to organise the Jats for achievement of the set common goals of liberty, equality and fraternity.
