It is nice thought. However, as , I am a "VERY JUNIOR" member to suggest or recommond ornominate a panchor Surpanch or else, even, if it has any values, my vote is for you....

Surely your post will draw attention of respected senior members...we may see their comments on your post soon.

Some rules for the Jatland Panchayat

Sarpanch - The five Panches will select a Sarpanch from themselves.

Functions of Jatland Panchayat - to maintain bhai-chara, general discipline on the site, hear appeals of members and removal of their grievances, take decisions by majority etc.

Period - The first Jatland Panchayat will work for six months. If it works satisfactorily it may continue for more six months.

Members may add more !

इरादा तो बढ़िया से , पर हकीकत मे सायद ही कामयाब हो पावे ।
साइट मालिक, एडिटर, मोड्रेटर आदि के बारे मे भी तो बात करलो। उनका के होगा। किस रूप मे रहेंगे।
या पंचायत उन ताले रहेगी या वे इस पंचायत ताले रहेंगे।
अगर मान लो एक बंदे को मोड़ा ने बैन कर दिया और उसका केस कोइसे ने इस पंचायत आगे ओपन फोरम मे धर दिया। तो हर हाल मे उस तागे मे लठ बाजेगा और वो तागा ही बंद करना पड़ेगा।
दूसरा तरीका ये हो सके है की मेम्बर ने बैन करण ते पहले , एडमिन मोड उसका केस इस पंचायत का वियू ले सके है।
पंचायत किसी सोल्यूशन पे पहुँच जागी, इसी बात का डर लागे है। परस्तावित मेंबर चुने पाछे मुनसी प्रेमचंद की कहानी “पंच पेरमशवर” को फॉलो तो करेंगे ही (इसका तो पक्का यकीन है अपने सिंगा ने पनाना बंद रखेगे उतने दिन खैर )
लेकिन यू वर्चुअल वर्ल्ड से और इस्स चुनी हुई पंचायत की ढब ने भी उंगली ठान वाले बहुत होंगे
इसे गाम गवहांड की पंचायत ना माने।
और हो सके है की उनके परसताव को एडमिन पार्टी भी ठुकरा सके है

-Repetitive Threads लॉक होने चाहिए | पर "खाप पंचायत" , "जाट क्या है ?" , "ऑनर किल्लिंग" , "जाट रिजर्वेशन " जैसे मुद्दों पर हर हफ्ते नया थ्रेड खड़ा हो जा है | और तो और पुराने चुटकले भी नु के नु चेप दे हैं , आर फेर बेशर्म होके नु कह्वेंगे अक PS : जिसने पढना हो पढ़ लो, poonjhad लगा के मजा मत ख़राब करियो चुटकले का |

First : I m sorry but I thought we r not serious about same , however it seems we r serious about Panachayat.

I may not be right , still wanna put point of view here .

This seems exactly the kind of political system we have here . MLAs select their CM and MPs their PM ( please correct me if I m wrong , its been long I have read Civics).
Let us have 2 Votings . One for Panch and other for Sarpanch . We would choose our own Panch n Sarpanch.

Just curious , we have around 17K members on JL , would it feasible to do such polling every six months .

Sir ji , actually what I believe be it power or money nothing can change somebody's attitude .

Hum jaise hai waise hi rehte hai , if people show some change then he was same earlier as well just waiting for right situations.

People don't change -situations do . So agar ek deserving person would have power he would definitely do good

Folks,
When we ban a member, we give it a lot of thought. It's not done in haste. Usually, these things can be very embarrassing if discussed in front of thousands of members for the person who is getting the ban or even worse, for other people who may have been victims of his abuse. There is absolutely NO way that we are going to embarrass members like this by bringing out the private details in public. Furthermore, bans are done for various reasons and a lot of times, the member themselves want a ban (ex. Raka). I don't see any reason why we should have a vote by other members if one member wants to leave.
