An Idea Promised the Sky, but India Is Still Waiting

Fellow members, 2 days ago, I read an article on NY Times on the delivery of Akash Tablet.

Indian Government promised to deliver a $50 tablet to its citizens. But people have not got anything yet.

Some people who got this tablet are whinging because of the quality of tablet in terms of speed, performance etc.

The tablet is so badly designed that its of no use after spending Rs 2276.

The company called DataWind who got tender to deliver cheap tablet is so naive in this field that it has no past track of manufacturing tablets.

DataWind also promised that tablets will be manufactured in India. But despite its claims, it choose China to manufacture Akash.

Now question arises, why government choose such company which had no history of producing such cheap tablets on its own capcity.

How much tax payers money has been wasted on such scheme. Is it another scam or failure of government plans.

Has government gave any alternate to the Akash.

vo te isme te bhi kuch pisitive kaadh lavega... neu kavhega ak vo tab or kuch nahi to kam te kam bagake to maran ke kaam aave sake hai...
