Old documents/Pictures related with Jats and North-Western Tribes of Bharat.

    Hello,
I propose to start a thread. The main purpose of this thread is to accumulate online documents which contain old information in the form of research, articles, pictures, etc., or any other kind of information that can contribute to present information about old north western Bharat tribes, their lifestyle, etc. Anyone can post this information in the form of hyperlinks to documents, pictures, information of any available documents in libraries through out the world and in India. It will also be nice if someone takes a picture of the document that are lying in libraries or other information centers, so that these can not be displaced or missed from the records.

Some wrong information on this page that needs to be corrected. There is a clear cut evidence of Indo Scythian origins of Jats. Again the old word for a "Jat" is "Jut". Maybe the spelling is different because of location and dialect. An old person from "Baraut" region once told me that in old times "Jats" were called "Jutt".

If Iran comes into mention, we must remember, Iran has been inhabited by different tribes at different points of time and many tribes migrated from present day Iran. So it is not necessary that the present day Iranians are the same persons that are being talked about in historical articles.

There have been different @Huns, at different point of time in History. The @Huns mentioned in this documentary are not the @Changez Khan huns, these are different Huns. One similarity of these Huns with Scythians is the use of reflex bow or recurve bow.

Most of these documentaries state these tribes as @Barbaric tribes, we should take into consideration that the description that we get about these tribes are mostly through @old biblical context which showed other people as barbaric until and unless these people were brought under civilized and biblical context of life. We really do not know, if they were savage or the way they are projected, in old times kingdoms were fighting between themselves, it was normal at that point of time, in present form it is easy to project these warriors are as barbarians.

This documentary also states that these people settled in different parts of Europe, especially in the areas near Germanic regions and near Germanic regions.

Hunnic people had lot of different family names or related tribal names. Some kept @Hun as a primary family name. These people were a collection of people from similar tribes and common blood links.

Any community that will fight and try to make a good place for itself in the community will be termed as barbaric by others. It has happened throughout ages.

Linguistic context> In many languages throughout Europe especially in Germanic countires> "J" is spelled as "ya", "ya" is spelled exactly "ya" in hindi. So "Jat" sounds "Yaat" or "Yuut" for "Jut".

In the past, keeping genealogy was the work of priests or special people such as "Bhats" who were kept and paid to keep the geneology or clan history or family history. Warriors never had time to keep these records as they were always involved in fights and wars. Now, how this geneology was kept, recorded and shown to public totally depended on the keepers of this geneology. So ancient geneology has to be carefully seen and understood to take out relevant facts from biases, mythologies and molded (facts changed by record keepers) facts.

It is interesting to know there is no presence of "Ahirs" in Pakistan in the form of Muslims or in India in the form of Muslims.
I wonder "Why"? Why there are Muslim " Jats" , muslim "Goojars" and muslim "Rajpoots" but no muslim "Ahir".
Neither there are any "Ahir" "Sikhs".
What does this information tells us about north western Bharat's history?
Please correct me if i am wrong and elaborate if u have any more information.
