Thread: Seeking suggestions for short term internet connection.

Question Seeking suggestions for short term internet connection.

Could anyone suggest me on getting an internet connection for short term (15-20 days) please? How do USB dongles perform in areas around Hisar (which is where I will be using it)? I've never used one of these in India. My aim is to work while being on 'holidays' in India. I can stretch my budget up to Rs. 8,000-10,000.

Bhai Pannu, reliance netconnect+ works good at least in first month of connection. USB with connection should cost you around 2500 for 1mbps plan. They will claim 3.1 mbps but that is hyped. Advantage with reliance is that number of users are less in same bandwidth so speed will be better. In Rohtak it works fine, please check for Hissar.

For checking emails or do all the faltoo work USB dungal is okay .
However for work not good .

In Rohtak ----USB dungall works ( tried Tata and Reliance )-----just fine n please do check what dealers you have there .

( Pata chale MTS le liya and uska Hisar mei Tower hi nahi )

Ek aur jugad hai ; If any of your neigbour has wireless router , use his connection it work a lot better than USB dungall ( ofcourse if he/she agrees to , based on experience BSNL connection wireless router )

-- Tata docomo is crap. They have an offer of an unlimited internet connection but its slow and unreliable. Also customer service is a nightmare. Don't trust them at all.

I reckon if he has the money to spend then he must go for some high speed internet connection as suggested by Deepak. Or get a landline connection and use it.

Airtel no clue . BSNL is good , however as u r not for long time so itne mei apply karoge itne mei chutti khatam ho jayengi ( sarkari hai I m sure u can understand ) .
One more thing , ya toh BSNL ka connection kabhi doobega nahi ( no matter what happens ) aur agar kismat kharab doob gaya toh bina chakkar kate ya jugad ke theek nahi hoga ( Waise aajkal suna hai they have some fast track scheme , u need to check from ur town BSNL office - again chakkar katne padenge )
