    It is never too late to
    quit smoking~

    Within the first 20
    minutes of quitting, the
    healing process begins.

    By the end of the first day
    after quitting smoking,
    you've decreased your
    chances of having a heart
    attack.

    The benefits will continue
    to improve your health
    and quality of life for
    years.

    Within 12 hours after you
    have your last cigarette,
    your body will begin to
    heal itself. The levels of
    carbon monoxide and
    nicotine in your system
    will decline rapidly, and
    your heart and lungs will
    begin to repair the
    damage caused by
    cigarette smoke.

    As your body begins to
    repair itself, instead of
    feeling better right away,
    you may feel worse for a
    while. It's important to
    understand that healing is
    a process; it begins
    immediately, but it
    continues over time. These
    "withdrawal pangs" are
    really symptoms of the
    recovery process.

    Immediately after
    quitting, many ex-smokers
    experience "symptoms of
    recovery" such as
    temporary weight gain
    caused by fluid retention,
    irregularity, and dry, sore
    gums or tongue. You may
    feel edgy, hungry, more
    tired, and more short-
    tempered than usual and
    have trouble sleeping and
    notice that you are
    coughing a lot. These
    symptoms are the result
    of your body clearing itself
    of nicotine, a powerful
    addictive chemical. Most
    nicotine is gone from the
    body in 2-3 days.

    Please spread awareness
    among smokers to quit
    smoking

    धूम्रपान छोड़ने का देसी नुस्खा

    दो-चार गांठ अदरक की ले लें। उनके छोटे-छोटे टुकड़े चाकू से कर लें। उपर एक नीम्बू निचोड़ दें और पिसा हुआ काला नमक बिखेर दें। इनको धूप में सुखा लें। पूरा सूख जाने के बाद इन टुकड़ों को एक शीशे की बोतल में रख लें। कुछ टुकड़े एक पुड़िया में लपेट कर अपनी जेब में रखें। जब भी सिगरेट, बीड़ी या तम्बाकू की तलब हो, एक टुकड़ा मुंह में रखें और टाफी की तरह चूसते रहें, बेशक एक टुकड़ा कुछ घण्टे मुंह में रखें।

    एक महीने के भीतर बड़े-पियक्कड़ों को धूम्रपान से छुटकारा मिल जाता है। जिनको धूम्रपान की लत लग चुकी है और जो इसको छोड़ना चाहते हैं, वे इस नुस्खे को आजमायें। धूम्रपान छोड़ने का शत-प्रतिशत कामयाब फार्मूला।

    (अदरक में फासफोरस होता है। जो लोग सिगरेट-बीड़ी की लत लगा लेते हैं, उनके शरीर में फासफोरस की कमी होती है, इसीलिए बार-बार तलब उठती है। अदरक इस कमी को पूरा कर देता है और लत छूट जाती है।)

    It is difficult to quit smoking coz Nicotine mix with the blood . Whenever that certain level of nicotine decreases individual got desperate for smoking .
    Nicotine patches are way too less harmful than smoking.........can try that during the course of quitting smoking.

    Please take better advise from doctors in order to quit smoking to avoid any severe Withdrawal Symptoms specifically Chain Smokers

    This is yet another kind of stuff on the internet that's not only gives wrong information but rather harmful also.

    For all the smokers.
    It is important for you to know that every cigarette that you smoke cause irreversible damage to your body.

    The smoker does gets relief (healing and body strength) from regular exercise and healthy food, the benefits are similar to a quieted-smoker as well as to a non-smoker.

    I smoked for about 8 years. One fine morning, I decided to give it up and was successful in my mission without taking any substitute of nicotine. I felt a strong urge of smoking for about a week, but my iron will prevailed. It is now more than 20 years when I gave it up. However, at quite a few occasions since that time, I have had puffs of cigarette occasionally on the insistence of smoker friends during drinking sessions; but never felt like resuming it on a regular basis.

    However, I would like to suggest to the Juniors that smoking is not salutary to health. Apart from entailing wasteful expenditure, it also leads to bad odour in mouth which others sitting beside you or your companion may not like. Avoid it, if possible.

    E-Cigarrettes are also being promoted now a days as the replacement of tobacco Cigarrettes. Not sure if they help people to give up tobacco smoking.
    Though, I believe that people who really want to give up smoking, they should stop it immediately and rely on their will power to abstain.
    My Dadaji, who was addicted to Hukka, gave it up one fine day, and never took it up again. He must have smoked for more than 60 years.
    His abstinence from smoking continues till day and it's been about 12 years now..
    जिंदगी पथ है मंजिल की तरफ जाने का,
    जिंदगी नाम है तूफानों से टकराने का.
    मौत तो बस चैन से सो जाने की बदनामी है,
    जिंदगी गीत है मस्ती से सदा गाने का..
