Jats fought for freedom of the nation from the British yoke not only in India but also from foreign soils. First Raja Mahendra Pratap founded Free India Government at Kabul in 1916.
When Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose re-raised INA, thousands of Jat soldiers of British Indian Army deserted their units en masse, and under his command fought against the British. One of the three generals of INA was Mr. Dhillon, who were put under trial. The trial proceedings further intensified anti-British feelings in the armed forces, that was one of the major causes that forced them to free India.
Let us join to salute all of these freedom fighters on the Birth anniversary of Netaji today.
