Lyricist: INSHALLHA KHAN INSHA

Ab kaha hoon kahan nahi hoon main
Ab kaha hoon kahan nahi hoon main
Jiss jagah hoon wahan nahi hoon main
Kaun awaaz de raha hai mujhe
Koi keh de yahan nahi hoon main
Main hawa hoon kahan watan mera
Ab kahaan hoon..kahaan nahi hoon main
Ab kahaan hoon..kahaan nahi hoon main
Jis jagah hoon wahaan nahi hoon main
Main hawa hoon kahaan watan mera
Dasht mera na ye chaman mera
Kaun awaz de raha hai mujhe
Koi keh de yahaan nahi hoon main
Main hawa hoon kahaan watan mera
Dasht mera na ye chaman mera
Mai ke har chand ek khaana nashin
    Anjuman anjuman suhan mera
Dasht mera na ye chaman mera
Main hawa hoon kahaan watan mera
Barg-e-gul par charag sa kya hai
Choo gaya tha use dahan mera
Dasht mera na ye chaman mera
Main hawa hoon kahaan watan mera
Main ke toota hua sitara hoon
    Kya bigaregi anjuman mera
Dasht mera na ye chaman mera
Main hawa hoon kahaan watan mera
Har ghadi ek naya takaza hai
Dard sar ban gaya badan mera
Dasht mera na ye chaman mera
Main hawa hoon kahaan watan mera
Main hawa hoon kahaan watan mera.

-- When you talk, you are only repeating what you already know. But if you listen, you may learn something new.

Beautiful combination of heart-wrenching lyrics (dil se kheench kheench ke nikalti hai arzu) and soul touching mix of dholaki with guitar.

Love the aalaap, "aaaa, sawarey tore bina jiya jaye na ... hye mera dil, hye mera dil".

Close the eyes, immerse and enjoy.

    .

Would like to share a B'ful song by legendary band Dire Straits that perfectly depicts pain n' suffering of War. Mark Knofler's soulful deep vocals infused with his signature guitar playing makes it true classic.

    ..

Now the sun's gone to hell and
    The moon's riding high
    Let me bid you farewell
    Every man has to die
But it's written in the starlight
And every line in your palm
We are fools to make war
    On our brothers in arms
    ..

.. " Until Lions have their historians, tales of the hunt shall always glorify the hunter! " ..

Redefining the spirit of Gayatri mantra! or I would say Spreading the message inherent in great Mantra!

Our spiritual heritage has long crossed the breadth and length of our great nation and transformed the lives of hundreds and the in return transforming the lives of thousands!

    Really soothing and melodious.
History is best when created, better when re-constructed and worst when invented.

    Sir,

As a historian yourself, it may be of some interest to you to know that this song was written by Nawab Wajid Ali Shah, the 19th-century Nawab of Awadh as a lament when he was exiled from his beloved Lucknow by the British Raj before the failed Rebellion of 1857, where he uses the metaphor of bidaai (bride's farewell) of a bride from her father's (babul) home, and his own banishment from his beloved Lucknow, to far away Calcutta, while he spent the rest of his years--Wiki

    Cheers!

Arooj Aftab, another talented Singer from Pakistan with Sufi touch. Her enchanting lazy voice soothes your soul. I discovered this ballad while searching for Sufi Rock stuff few days back. This particular song is a bit melancholic and soul stirring but highly addictive. The video is a clip taken from tele film 'Hazy Grey Sky' that actually did justice to the song.

ps: Recently found out she also done a song for movie Talwar, Song is nice one - Insaaf.

    Enjoy!!
