It’s time for our Jat community to come together to celebrate the festival of lights or Diwali, which signifies the homecoming of Lord Rama after fourteen years of exile. Diwali also marks the incoming of Lakshmi, the goddess that brings prosperity.
The executive committee of AJA is delighted to announce that Diwali Festival will be celebrated on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Chutney Manor(Chutney Mary) located at 3793 US Highway 1 South, Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852 (please see the enclosed directions). Phone:732-422-7700
The schedule of events will be as follows:
5:30 – 7:00 pm Registration and Snacks
7:00 – 7:30 pm Laxmi Puja and Aarti
7:30 – 9:30 pm Cultural programs
9:30 – 11:00 pm Dinner and Dance
Please note that:
•Dues will be collected at the door: $85/family of up to four, $60/couple and $30/single person. Family of 5 or more, please contribute if you can as hotel is charging $30/person to AJA. Please call or email to confirm your attendance by 15th November. (Needed by Hotel for theme cloth ordering and chair arrangements).
•We will be having a great cultural program, which will consist of singing, dancing, skit, and drama. All prospective candidates along with any youngsters who wish to help with the stage arrangement are requested to contact Mrs. Parul Rana at (732) 829-7063 or by email: ajatalentshow@gmail.com by
Nov. 15, 2013 regarding participation in the cultural competition.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in the program.
•Food is being catered. However, please feel free to bring sweets to share with other members
•Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited.

- Take Garden State Parkway South to Exit-130
- Take Route-1 South for about 12 miles. Pass Regal Cinemas on your right.
- Chutney Mary / Chutney Manor is on your right hand side after the 4th Traffic light between Henderson Road and Deans Lane.
From: Southern New Jersey:
- Take Route-130 North to Route-1 South for about 5 miles
- Or take NJ Turnpike North to Exit-9 and continue as above.
From Garden State Parkway:
- Take Garden State Parkway South to Exit-130
- Take Route-1 South for about 12 miles. Pass Regal Cinemas on your right.
- Chutney Mary / Chutney Manor is on your right hand side after the 4th Traffic light between Henderson Road and Deans Lane.
