If u study history/prehistory, geography and archaeology, you find that early civilizations have risen from middle east, all the way up to present day Gujarat. It was not a coincidence, rather the need of human existence. Why? simply because 10.000 years BC or even earlier climatic conditions were different. If u study the geography/flora/fauna and climatic conditions of 10,000 BC, then you find that there were lush green forests at the place where there are today deserts. The place where Runn of Kutch stands today was all lush green at one point of time. So it is obvious that humans were living in similar areas.
Religions like Christianity, Judaism and Muslim arose from and around Middle East, Why? Middle east was also part of great civilizations at one point of time, we find great civilization such as "Sumarian" civilization which existed 5000 BC arose in middle east.
Lot of Jat family names are written by people residing in middle east as well, interesting fact is that the people of same family names might be have different religious identities, i have seen people having same family names but following Islam and Judaism, and such family names also exist as Jat family names, it can also mean that "Jats" have very ancient roots. A simple example is a city called "Basra" and "Jats" also have same family name. If u will search, you will find several such family names. This also means that clan based identity/ family name identity/ children of kind of identity existed very long back in human history even before religions started.
If you mean it for Buffalo rearing Iraqi group Madhan than they are a later group in Iraq indicating a northern migration from Indo Pak areas than other way around.

It seems quite logical !
History is best when created, better when re-constructed and worst when invented.
There is a city called "GOHANA" in Haryana.
It seems the word itself connects the Hunnic tribes "Hepthalites/White Huns", with cows.
If we do sandhi vicchedh of word "Gohana", we get the word "Go + Hana".
So, Go/Gau depending on the pronunciation literally means "Cow" in India and "Hana" are ancient "Hunnic" tribes.
So, it seems "Hans" were associated with cows from their roots, from ancient times. It is quiet probable that "Hunnic" tribes either were living with their cows in this area or migrated to this area and the area got its name after that.
