Ch Chhotu Ram was a National Leader and was greatly respected by peoples across religions / castes / sects. We must salute him and follow his teachings; fearlessness - truthfulness - genuine concern for farmers - a truly secular outlook - impartiality - calling a spade a spade etc. I very strongly believe that had he lived for another 10 years, this country would not have been divided.

Sir Ch.Chhotu Ram was an outstanding statesman, honest leader, brilliant and dignified personality. What makes him unique is the fact that inspite of a very humble background, he could acquire an iconic status in the rough and tumble world of contemporary Indian politics controlled by the feudal lords and aristocrats. During those days, hardly any commoner could ever dream to rise to such a high position and Ch. Chhotu Ram was an exception. He made the community really proud and I doubt any other Jat leader has been able to fathom the heights scaled by him. Vacuum created by him has never been fulfilled. Barring a few, most of the Jat leaders have been self-seekers and have invested their energy in furthering the cause of their respective dynasties/clans. They don’t think beyond the interest of their clans and have been using the community as a ladder to rise in their political carrier.

Truly he imbibed these and many more qualities of head and heart which made him role model for any contemporary Indian leader and with his departure a big void has been left difficult to be filled.
