    Staple Food and Balanced Diet

What constitutes Staple Food, is the simple question but no simple answer is coming to mind.

Would experts on the dietary and health shed light on the issue and let the Jatlanders know how to make their diet balanced and what ingridients it must contain for healthy growth and maintenance of healthy body at different stages of life !

Your reasoned comments are welcome on the topic !

They will explain it better, but per me we should not stick to a particular type of food. Good quality food with variety is best for everyone(except people with medical conditions). Eat optimum amnt of food and eat it in a manner to maintain a good metabolism rate and exercise regularly to add to it.

Kindly share whether you are vegetarian/non vegetarian and what constitutes your diet chart so that proper diet could be suggested.

    To all Jat landers!

First to address the quoted, that I use to be purely vegetarian but time and situations demanded me to be eggetarian and even non-vegetarian and never hate any food. Whatever your body accepts, one should adapt that eating habit. If asked for preference, I always prefer to be vegetarian by choice and liking.

    Balanced diet

It must include the minimun amount of calories that a body requires at different ages. If don't want to bother for calorie chart, go simple as told by late Dr. Rajpal ji.....

Green leafy vegetables; adding milk, yoghurt and curd components; all kind cereals and pulses; dry fruits should be a must intake empty stomach and that too after soaking in water overnight.

Fruits of all seasons are must like many are choosy about eating grapes, papayas, melon or mangoes. It should be rather taken as per season whether we like it or not.

Note: I am not a nutritionist or a science student, so can't support with reason. But even the villagers know these basics.
