Delhi Police plans to screen out Jat applicants
In a very disguised manner Delhi Police is planning to screen out Jat applicants by conducting Pan-India online recruitment drives.
The idea behind the scheme is that when Delhi is cosmopolitan and has people from all across the country, why should Delhi Police not be cosmopolitan in comparison to the present recruits from Delhi and nearby states.
If other states do not have this policy, why are the eligible youth from Delhi/NCR being deprived of their rightful share. But the problem is that Jats do not have a representation either in the centre or the state in terms of a forceful leader who can take up their cause.
Why should Delhi/NCR youth be made to compete with the youth from all across the country when similar facility is not available anywhere else in the country and when the vacancies in Delhi are rightfully theirs.
Also, the cleverness in this scheme is that it has been dressed in the garb of a modernistic cosmopolitan approach/manner. Anybody who opposes it would be seen to have a very narrowistic approach.
Whatever way we see it, the losers would be the Jats against whom a very sustained and sharp campaign is underway since decades in terms of restricting their representation in govt. jobs especially in Delhi and more particularly in organizations like Delhi Police and DTC.
