Bhai Vinesh Phogat is daughter of Late Sh Rajpal Singh who was a bus driver with Haryana Roadways. He was considered as one of the fastest and sharp drivers in the depot. I remember traveling with him while studying in school at Dadri as his duty used to be on our route mostly. Rajpal was shot dead by one of his cousins on a petty issue around 10 years ago at home Balali.

Rajpal was the youngest brother of Mahaveer Pehalwan (Father of Geeta and Babita). Mahaveer Pehalwan has trained Vinesh like his own daughters - Geeta and Babita and results are in front of all of us. Pehalwan ji is still a very simple person.

    Good news, kindly share :

India got one more medal in the women's 53kg weightlifting when Swati Singh was handed the bronze and Matsha Santoshi upgraded to silver after 16-year-old Nigerian gold winner Chika Amalaha tested positive for a banned substance at the Commonwealth Games.

Santoshi had finished third and Swati fourth in the women's 53kg weightlifting competition, held on July 25. They will now get a silver and bronze respectively.

"We have got official intimation from the Glasgow 2014 organisers that Santoshi's bronze will be upgraded to silver, while fourth-placed Swati will get the bronze," Indian Weightlifting Federation vice-president Sahdev Yadav said on Wednesday."Now we will get 12 medals (three gold, four silver, five bronze) from weightlifting in the Games, two medals more than in 2010 Delhi. It is a huge achievement for us," he added."This remarkable achievement surpassed the medal tally of previous two editions of Commonwealth Games (nine medals in 2006 and eight in 2010)."

Isi Hooda ne iss mein bhi full raajniti kheli s.

Delhi Commonwealth mein gold medalist Geeta Balali ko aaj tak sarkaari naukri nahi di. Jabki baaki sab ( Jogender Sharma Cricketer jo ki fuss tha, Mamata Souda jo koi medal nahi lyaayi etc) ko DSP lagaya - sirf caste equations ke chakkar mein. Geeta's uncle is INLD leader and Hooda didnt want this family to get benefit.

eb kare jaao ghoshna 1-1 crore ki. Kutte mootein sein isi isi ghosna mein. Ke is bhuppi ke bharose thode hi pehalwan banayi sein chhori Mahaveer ne.

Would the concerned people take note of the revelations made in the post about the partisan implementation of the State Sports Policy in Haryana.

Do you think Director Sports Haryana will read the posts above? The post is not a revelation but open truth, already raised many a times by people of Bhiwani.
I even heard that INLD is considering Geeta Balali as a candidate from Badhra for the coming assembly elections.

Friend, read my post again. It is not addressed to Director or any other Government authority but to 'concerned people' to take note of the selective approach being adopted by the current government in the field of even Sports achievements of the highest order !

Gold eludes Indian wrestlers, get 4 silvers, 1 bronze
GLASGOW: After a day of highs, there was disappointment in store for Indian wrestlers as they only garnered four silver medals and a bronze in the 2014 Commonwealth Games at the SECC Hall on Wednesday.

Bajrang, Lalita, Sakshi Malik and Satywart Kadian lost their final bouts to settle for the silver medal while Navjot Kaur clinched the bronze medal after she won the play-off match.

This comes after a stunning show by the Indian wrestlers on Tuesday when they won three gold medals and a silver. Two-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar, Amit Kumar, and Vinesh Phogat had bagged gold medals and Rajeev Tomar settled for the silver.

India's tally from wrestling now stands at nine medals - three Gold, five Silver and a Bronze. It have now slipped to the second position after Canada in the wrestling competition. Canada have a total of eight medals - five gold and three bronze.

Five Indian boxers reach CWG semis
GLASGOW: Indian boxers Pinki Jangra, L. Sarita Devi, Devendro Singh, Mandeep Jangra and Vijender Singh reached the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Games in their respective categories.

However, Amritpreet Singh bit the dust as he lost the men's 91 kg quarter-final bout to local pugilist Stephen Lavelle. The judges found the Scot to be better in all the three rounds to win with a scoreline of 29:28, 30:27 and 30:27.

Pinki started the proceedings with a dominating 4:0 win over Papua New Guinea's Jacquiline Wangi in the women's 48-51 kg quarterfinal. She will now face Northern Ireland's Michaela Walsh in the semis on Friday.

Sarita followed it up with a win in the women's 57-60 kg quarterfinal over Welsh Charlene Jones. Though the Welsh girl won the first round on points, Sarita came back well to win the next three rounds of two minutes each to clinch the contest 3:1.

The Indian will play her last four bout on Friday against Mozambique's Maria Machongua.

Attacking Manipuri boxer Devendro then won his men's 49 kg last-eight bout, defeating Scottish Aqeel Ahmed 3:0. The 22-year-old notched up perfect scores of 30 from the judges in the last two rounds.

Devendro will face Welsh Ashley Williams in the semis on Friday.

Mandeep Jangra was lucky to not even fight in the men's 69 kg quarterfinal as his Australian opponent Daniel Lewis gave him a walkover due to medical reasons. The Haryana pugilist will next take on Northern Ireland's Steven Donnelly.

To finish the day, Indian Olympic bronze medallist Vijender Singh also won his men's 75 kg quarterfinal bout against Aaron Prince of Trinidad and Tobago 3:0.

The losing semifinalists in the discipline are assured of a bronze medal as the winners proceed to the gold medal final match. –Agencies, For Source of the report Log :http://www.tribuneindia.com/2014/201...est-news.htm#5
