    Contribution of Jats towards Economy, Polity,Philosophy and religion

    Contribution of Jats in different fields over the centuries has been immense.The Jats not unoften created history but had no historian to pen down their sterling achievements. That is why the contribution of the Jats towards economy, diplomacy, polity, culture, world peace and so on has gone almost unnoticed. In addition to safeguarding the frontiers of the country through the ages, their role in freedom movement is second to none.

    For example, Churaman's diplomatic steps led to formation of Jat native states in the 18th century, Maharaja Suraj Mal's statesmanship during Maratha-Rajput-Mughal ascendancy, marvellous plain area --Lohagarh Fort at Bharatpur, Jat Architecture's wonder construction Deeg Water palaces, Dhanna Bhagat's religious discourses, Contribution of Ch. Chhajuram Lamba towards trade, commerce and philanthropy, Raja Mahendra Pratap's Prem Dharama and idea of World Confederation find no significant mention in the text books being taught at our schools and colleges.

    Would it not be worth to make an effort to bring to the notice of the reading public of the site the sterling contribution of the community and thus inspire researchers to select their topics for deeper insight into these aspects so that in future, the role of the Jats finds a well deserved place in History of mankind.

    Well reasoned arguments and fully supported by data posts are welcome.

    Let us have a peep into history of 20th Century India and would come across no reference to the activities and contribution of Aryan Peshwa Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh, who was :

    the person to open Prem Polytechnic College, the first technical Institute in India to train the youth in modern scientific professional institute in the building which was his own PALACE;

    the first person who organised AZAD HIND Government in 1916 at Qabul -Afghanistan;

    the person who suffered much for over forty years for his role in Freedom Movement including forfeiture of his estates, private property and had to remain in exile outside the realms of his motherland; and,

    much before the League of Nations followed by UNO came into existence, Mahendra Pratap spread the message of World Federation through his travels across the globe.

    In addition, he was a great parliamentarian, social reformer, a well versed author and crusader.

    Hats off to such a gem of the community !

    Do the readers feel that this stupendous contribution in multi dimensional fields must find a place of honour in history text books or remain to face negligence as is the position to day.

    The relevant extract is produced hereinunder for ready reference of the readers :

    Late Raja Mahendra Pratap sacrificed his princely pleasures, luxuries of life and his estates and joined freedom movement during the course of the First World War. Went to Turkey, Germany, USSR and then founded the First Azad Bharat Government in Qabul in 1916 as its President. Barqatullah Khan was appointed PM with other ministers representing almost all the major religions of India.

    He sent letters to the Indian Rulers inviting them to join hands to get freedom from the British who were then engaged in the world war I. He tried to smuggle into India letters for Indian Freedom Fighters which were caught by the intelligence and famous 'Silk Letters Conspiracy case' followed.

    He met Turkish Khalifa, German Kaisar [Emperor] William II, and so many other rulers of the foreign countries who just promised help but did not extend concrete support to his Government. Unfortunately the British and their allies won the first world war but this did not deter the efforts of the Aryan Jat Peshwa who continued to visit one country after another across the globe for over 32 years preaching the need of freedom for India.

    After he returned to India, he did yeoman's service in the field of eradication of social evils like untouchability, communalism, casteism and preached for establishment of real democracy. He defeated the Congress candidate by winning Mathura parliamentary seat as Independent and raised several issues for the elevation of the poorer sections of the society.

    He gave the slogan to farmers and working class to get their demands accepted by the Nehru Government:
    LATH SE DILLI PAKARO.

    At this the P M Shri Nehru himself had to pacify him.

    He was a original thinker and philosopher and preached for World Government and World Federation of Nation much before the foundation of UNO.

    He was a prolific writer who authored over 100 books.

    He was the founder of
    First Polytechnic in India in 1912 as Prem Mahavidyalaya by donating his spacious palace building for the same.

    He remained president of Indian Freedom Fighters for a number of years.

    We bow our head in the memory of one of the tallest leader of the community in modern times.

    Raja Mahendra Pratap Bharat Ratana Samiti had submitted memorandum to Government of India and also got prepared a Commemoration Volume on his 125th Birth Anniversary. This book contains good number of articles, messages etc on the life and work of the great Jat leader.
