Avoid Posting Offensive Comments on NET

For information of all the members:

On behalf of the Government of India, A S G informed a bench of the Supreme Court of India that the Government " was concerned with contents offending religious sentiments, particularly those pertaining to the Quran, Bible or Gita or any other religious texts or symbols, besides other grossly offensive material..."

In such cases Section 66-A of the Information Technology Act will be used to punish the offenders. The offenders could be jailed for maximum period of three years and slapped with a fine
