Political structure is running out of time. It will be hard to run the country and states with current political structures.

India is changing faster than the current parliamentary structure, the political parties, the local politicians can comprehend.

Mr. Prime-minister is making loud speeches and comments at rallies or addressing the people through radio, this seems to get attention of certain sections of society, which might get them votes.
The main point concerns the changes that the government at the center needs to do can not be seen. The party at the center has large amount of workforce, social as well as economic backing yet it seems to be not doing anything for productive changes.
Things are being still done in the same old way.

There is a need to conduct educational tests and productivity test in the field of applicability, before people can enter parliament.

There is need to restrict voting rights, otherwise, the country might head towards middle east like situation.

It is good that Judiciary is kept away from political crap but again Judiciary is also understaffed as can be seen from millions of cases which are piled up with the courts.

I would agree with Shantaanug. On the lines of Anna movement, maybe if we can push for raising the criteria for entering Parliament. I mean in present situation when India wants to compete with the Developed countries & yet chavanni athanni neta with almost no education sit in parliament & do uncalled bayanbaazi. It is more like if you accept it the way it is now. Then, in a way you agree to what is happening is acceptable. The more momentum this dissent takes, the more changes we might see. The parties competing in next elections would in a bid to fare better than the rival parties would need to showcase how many of their candidates are having good education backgrounds. For a class 4 Employee job, Engineers & PG students appear in the exams.

Can major issues be solved using catchy words like " Smart cities"? What has been done to clean rivers?

I have my doubts. Due to wrong governments, political parties etc. none of the river is clean, none of the city has clean air, mass urbanization is creating slum cities and unsustainable villages. The problems are at local and national levels which current political structures fail to improve.

There is no qualification for MP's or MLA's (except the age, citizenship and residency) in developed countries.

The concept of democracy in these developed countries have matured beyond a point. We may never reach that stage no matter how much we try, we have our set of challenges & thought process. I once had the privilege of meeting an MEP (Member of european parliament) from Sweden. Their politicians are well behaved, have Ethics & easily accessible to the common people. Ministers are fired for a scandal of an equivalent of INR 75k. Even though the education criteria may not be there, but i am sure that 90-95% politicians would be literate & refrain from talking nonsense in the public domain. And back to topic...i wud still hold the opinion that this present govt. has been ignoring the very basic foundation of our country, the farmer. The govt. should encourage direct procurement from the Farmers providing a good purchase rate cutting the middle men.

Its not about developed or developing but its all about the system and moral values which is downgrading decade by decade in India.

There is a difference in thought process "Morality" is not controlled by any individual or society. "Morality" is an individual decision.

Central government has ground workforce but it is not doing anything productive at the ground level, does it need to restructure its workforce and think in productive terms rather than on obsolete issues?
Prime minister is only promising money deals to states but money has been flowing in before as well through government channels for several past decades for the same issues in the past.

Is there an urgent need to restructure the entire systems running the country from parliament downward? Every government throws lot of money for different projects without any results cities are polluted, masses are uneducated, etc.

If i remember correctly "Prince of Wales", "Prince Charles" came to Ganges.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVkpz7GxuGg

They did not come just create scene of the entire issue.

I am sure "Prince Charles came because "British People/Europe" has old connections with Indian subcontinent, although religious identities gave it their colour.

Rivers throughout ages in any civilization has proved to be a joining force for good because of the life giving capacity of water. Coming from a developed and industrialized world, i am sure "Prince of Wales" saw the future of India, its river systems, etc.

What has central government done to keep its ground work up to the mark for improvement of these water systems?

This is just one part of the entire line of issues.

If i remember correctly "Prince Charles" came for 9 days.

This is the right time for Mr. Modi to recognize who are his friends and foe in close circle around him and react quickly. first to be fired must be Mr. Shah.

BJP thought they will continue to make people fool by using aggressive, communal politics. This time in fact voters hided their identity and did not allow political parties like BJP to gauge their mindset. A very good article was published in Times Of India website on the same,

    http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/e...w/49614031.cms

    Some comments from that article:

According to a top JD(U) leader, at many places, Muslim women discarded the veil to de-emphasize their distinctiveness. This is a fallout of a lesson Nitish Kumar's colleagues learnt in the 2014 LS polls. The size of Muslim turnout had triggered what's called "counter-polarization", pushing voters, who seemed to be tilting towards JD(U) and RJD, towards BJP, propelling the saffron party to a tally that helped Narendra Modi score a majority of his own.

BJP did not learn anything from their Delhi election defeat. BJP was still driving on arrogance, aggressive and negative politics. BJP also shunned their local leaders like Shatrughan Sinha. BJP trio Modi, Shah, and Jaitley are driving everything at the moment and they have centralized power as well. Moreover hate speeches, communal overtones added more damage to the party's fortune.

With this defeat of BJP, opposition parties have got biggest boost and breakthrough. Next year, India will witness 4 more state elections including West Bengal and Tamil Nadu where BJP could not make any significant inroads so far. That means Mamta might ally with this Grand Alliance and In Tamil Nadu situation will be same as well. So tough times ahead for the BJP.

It seems that the government is so much influenced by the religious and cattle grazers in political sence that it has closed its mind and eyes.

Government can not see, who has been defending and living on the borders of this subcontinent and who have really worked and suffered.

These people have been Sikhs, Gurkhas, Jats, Rajpoots, etc. Who represent and have made continuous sacrifices throughout ages.
