Looking through data, we noticed that while member (logged-in) visits have been largely unchanged, the forum posting activity has significantly declined in the past 6 months. We're somewhat unclear why this is the case. Also, what can be done to reverse the trend?

Good observation... I believe that being "jat" is sole factor for members to log-in /re-visit the site. The interaction / posting demands common interest and getting feel of connected. So flow was much higher during election. After that it became like astha channel(!!) or CPM politburo. I feel a community site /discussion should be able to connect the members through a covalent bond bit. One possible way is if our discussions are oriented towards local issues-politics-fun- sharing personal/social local information so that more and more member may feel connected and contribute or share their views.....

भला ऐसी बेइज्जती कौन बर्दाश्त करता। इसलिए चले गए वो जब कोई सुनवाई नहीं हुई। उन्ही लोगो की वजह से यह फोरम आबाद था। सबसे बड़ी बात कि उसकी वजह से बाकी मेंबर्स में गलत मैसेज गया कि यहाँ वही पोस्ट होता है जो मॉडरेटर चाहते है।
इसने बाकी बचे मेबेर्स के उत्साह को चकनाचूर कर दिया। लोगो ने यहाँ से चुपचाप निकलने में ही भलाई समझी।
अब बस मॉडरेटर ही एक्टिव है यहाँ। उनकी हाइपर एक्टिविटी की वजह से मेंबर्स की एक्टिविटी ठंडी पड़ गयी।
आजकल लोग अपने घर वालो की टोका टाकी पसंद नहीं करते। फिर किसी और की कैसे करते।
खैर सारा ठीकरा मॉडरेटर के सर पे फोड़ना भी ठीक नहीं है।
ये कमबख्त इलेक्शन है कि 5 साल बाद ही आते है। इस बहाने कुछ रौनक तो आ ही जाती है। दूसरा ये सरकार भी कोई घोटाले नहीं कर रही। कुछ तो मसाला मिलता।
भला एक गाय को लेके कब तक पोस्ट करे कोई। आजकल विपक्षी पार्टियो ने भी पेड मेंबर्स को तन्ख्व्हा देनी बंद कर दी शायद। वो लोग भी बेदम पड़े है।
कोई नया भाई आता भी है तो उसे अपना पॉलिटिकल टेस्ट देना पड़ता है।
जिस पार्टी का फेवर करेगा दूसरी पार्टी के सपोर्टर उसकी कह के ले लेते है। अब ऐसा प्रेशर झेलना हर किसी के बसकी बात नहीं। उसका पोस्ट काउंट कभी एक से ज्यादा नहीं बढ़ पाता।
बाकी बचे मेरे जैसे जो अपनी हिंगलिश उर्दू चेक करने के लिए आते है। बुरा मत मानना में स्वांत: सुखाय: वाले मोड़ में हूँ।

Excessive moderation killed it . Ayush bhai has aptly described about plight of members who had spent their valuable time in writing long posts which eventually get deleted. Putting members on moderation unnecessarily. Are bhai, why make it a classroom here? In the era of social media people have different avenues to communicate and express their views. Why would someone waste his/her time on platform which is unnecessarily heavily moderated. Though I appreciate credible information on forums but that does not mean you just go and delete posts which are bit off topic. Discussion do get off track and its natural in any discussion. But I don't know why such a strict moderation. Are we writing assignments or exams. Don't know but until you get this issue sorted you will see further decline in the participation of forum.

There maybe N reasons for less participation from the members but everything can be sorted out if there were/are some issues. Repeating same things again and again never helps the situation.
I didn't came across any active or mass moderation since late. If, somehow, it happened in the past then it is good chance that Admins/Moderator might have realized it as currently there is no moderator in the forums.
Also, there are some nice changes in the site. So, lets appreciate the nice work done by Admins by moving ahead and making Jatland a happening place again.
Now, Feel at home and start contributing.
It's better to be alone than in a bad company.

As i already said, repeating same things over and over again is not going to make any difference. I have gone through the links you provided. Please take some pain to check that the member ( Moderator ) in question is no more a forum moderator.

This was a fundamental issue my dear. I hope we don't repeat same mistakes. and whoever takes the mod job must factor in such previous discussions. damage is already done and recovery may take some time. lets hope for the best.
