Haryana girl - minister in Norway

Daughter of a pump operator from Hisar, Anju Choudhary received a warm welcome today on her first time arrival to her home city after becoming the Transport and Environment Minister of Norway. Anju went to Norway in 2007 for studies and took a job in the transport department. Later, she became the minister for transport.
Talking about her rise as the minister of transport, Anju said that the politics in Norway is different. She said that there is no reservation, everyone is treated equally. However, Anju said that she hails from India but when people ask about the rape cases here she feels ashamed.

You deserve kudos by posting achievement of a Haryanavi female in general and an Indian on the international level by dint of her determination and dedication to achieve this enviable position.

    This is really strange.

This news just appeared in Indian Newspapers or websites.

There is nothing in Norwegian Newspapers or Government's Official Website.

Yeah could not find a reference of her anywhere in the international media including Norwegian news papers and govt websites. Don't know how Indian media verified this development. Govt website mentioning someone else as a minister of Environment and transport. In fact transport and environment are under different ministers.

This is good example of what you call bad or half journlism.

    From first hand information :

    Anju Chaudhary is a
Member of Vest-Agder County Council ( equivalent to MLA in India) and currently serving her responsibilities as a Member of Transport, Area and Environment Committee in Vest-Agder County, Norway.

To understand the basic political structure of Norway you can visit this page.
