Thread: Tension in Institutions of Higher Education

  1. #41
From the present shape of things in the temples of higher learning, one can safely say that everything but studies takes place there.

The unwarranted and uncalled for fermentation taking place in the campuses is most unfortunate especially when even the poorest of tax payers is funding those institutions through his sweat and toil. And then, such rabblerousers as Kanhaiya while forgetting the primary purpose of their being in the university indulge in everything but studies.

The problem is not new, but has existed for decades. The only difference is that the previous governments turned a blind eye to the celebration of CRPF men being killed by maoists, denigrating Hindu Gods and Goddesses, etc.

For the first time, the present govt. put its foot down and said that enough is enough. No more cursing our country and wishing its destruction, the very same country that feeds you through its sweat and toil.

There is no place for such traitors in India. Various so-called pseudo-intellectuals and intelligentia are calling it an assassination of free speech. Traitors like Umar Khalid are playing the victim minority card.

It is actually hard to imagine to what level the various political parties like Congress, Left, JDU, TMC, AAP, etc. will fall to further their petty political agenda even if it is at the risk and cost of breaking the country.

The need of the hour for the present govt. is to act even more tough. Some things are non-negotiable AND honour, integrity and security of the nation are few of those some things!

Why your govt. which is in full majority and even in power in JnK, not acting the way you want against 'traitors'? Now its not congress or left in power. How do you take this weakness of this BJP govt?

Samar bhai it is as much your govt. as it is mine, just like the previous one. It is an elected govt. which has come to power with an overwhelming mandate from the electorate.

There are many people (including me and you) who are not happy with a quite a few things about this govt. If you ask me, I believe the formation of govt. in J&K and diplomacy with Pakistan are totally unwarranted and the govt. would have been on a much better footing if it would not have gone ahead with them.
I believe that anyone and everyone who stands against the country should be taken to task.
We all as citizens are fully within our rights to be critical of the decisions and functioning of the govt. but do not have any right whatsoever to wish the destruction of our nation.

When things are unwarranted it is best time to take harsh decisions rather then sticking base to chairs it helps public in two ways they make their choice of next government easy and decisions taken by them let people provide a trial pack of future

U are right but which political party is ready to face the reality!

Fact of the matter is all of them do cosmetic touch to address even the most needed reforms

to ensure their continuance in position of power as long as possible.

U have rightly brought to fore the double-speak of the BJP which stands exposed with conclusion of unholy pact for government formation with Mahbooba Mufati.

This type of jugglery shows non seriousness of Haryana Government to handle the real serious problems being faced by the State like unemployment, drought conditions, rising prices and many more.

Education Minister of Rajasthan has directed Teachers to ensure playing of Bande Mantram CDs in schools at prayer meets in the schools

so as to prevent coming to fore in future 'Kanhiya' type students.

He said such CDs have been sent to all government schools in the state.

    Rare remedy, indeed !!

Good discussion. But who will bell the cat ! Is the Government prepared to make necessary improvements and reforms in the higher education system is the billion dollar question.

If we see the present objective conditions of the doings of HRD Ministry nothing is visible to indicate such will power of the present government. Only symbolic nationalism dose is prescribed now and then like hoisting of national flag, bharat mata ki jai, vande matram etc. These steps are good if implemented side by side of rooting out the distortions in the system which only gives degrees not right to earn bread and butter. There are many more things which could be done to link the education with increasing vocational and professional capabilities of the degree holders.

Resource crunch is another issue being faced by our education system. But will power to allot at least 6% of budgetary allocation to education is not coming in spite of 1% education cess on IT.

A country, where the education for jobs like that of a Medical practitioners is commercialized and a country where politicians are business people running public institutions like hospitals has odd priorities.
