    Retrospecting concept of @Independence

The view shown by political system to the world and Indians is that @British were a ruthless rulers and the persecution of Indians was big under British rule.
One the other hand, if we retrospect the development of India during the @British time, the picture is somewhat different:

    British rule in India:

    Accomplishments:

    1. Building railway network
    2. Building road
    etc.etc.

Society and people of India at the time of arrival of British in India:

    1. Small states within India, internal conflicts.
    2. Strongly religious society
    3. Wars in the name of religion, wars in between small states, etc.

The so called post Independence India:

    1. Building on the infrastructure left by the British
    2. Indian political system turning into new feudal and criminal system.
    3. Learning the concept of blame game
    4. Religion segregation, religious atrocities/atrocities again being a thing of present.
    5. Copying and buying new developments in various fields from out abroad.
    6. Abrupt uncontrollable development of infrastructure which is often way behind schedule and needs of the people.
    7. Rapid rise in pollution and extermination of natural resources.
    8. Present day politicians and their goons changing the needs of the society which is leading to more criminalisation of society. Present day political system is going to make India into another state like that of Pakistan/Afghanistan.

There is an old Iron Bridge built at Yamuna river by Britishers:

    http://wikimapia.org/621608/Yamuna-Railway-Bridge

This bridge was built in 1866 and renovated in 1913. This bridge was built for the traffic that existed way back in 1866/1913, yet this bridge still serves the people of present India. While there has been a dramatic increase in the kind/type of traffic in India since 1866/1913, yet this bridge serves present day traffic as well.

On the other hand the infrastructure being built by present day India is going to failing at every point.

    Indian Army

Indian Army has its foundation in "British Indian Army", as i have been able to understand.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Army

The biggest wars that people of Indian subcontinent ever fought was under British crown.

Is it not high time to acknowledge the fact, that the roots laid down by Britishers by establishing Indian Army has proved a vital part in India`s existence.

Is it not high time to have the "British monarchy" as guest of Honor at Republic day parade?

    Concept of a "Rastra"

A word that is often used for India is "Rastra",,,, a few questions to answer:

    1. Does India need to have religious identity to be a "Rastra". What comes first "a Rastra" or "Religion".
    2. Should there be any place for such identities as religion in a concept of "Rastra"?
    3. What comes first "Truth" or "stories which do not hold any truth and meaning to everyday life of people"?
    4. What is the place for people, who hold most of the resources through religion while there are endless sadhus and other so called religious people, who are as poor as any other person living in the street.
    5. Is it not high time to rethink the concept of "Rastra"? Times are changing, the concept of "Rastra", will hold not value, if the concept of "Rastra" does be true to public and itself.

Is it time to rethink the word "Hindustan"?

Is there a better word for it?
