Lot of family names will not be able to find their origin because the root of these family names might not be present in present day India or even Indian subcontinent.

Lot of the religiously given family names might not hold any ancient out of India substantial meaning. Such family names might have emerged from local kingdoms.

There is need to find the meaning of gotra name to find its place of origin.

Although some clans can find their roots to ancient middle east but it seems the major inflow of Jat clans came from Eurasia and were linked with ancient travelling routes.

The religious words like "Sin", which in religious sense does not hold good meaning might depict different origins of clans. The word "Sin", might have middle eastern origin.

Interestingly the words like "Malik", have anceint roots to the "Gates of Jerusalem", in middle east

But again lot of words have been used again and again in different areas.

Some family names like "Bharadwaj", do show some affiliation to Jat and other tribal family names but seem to be coming from different origins, this difference might be due to presence of numerous kingdoms in ancient India. There is also a possibility that the original words of family names could have changed due to different languages, kingdoms and history of diversity in India.

Tribal family names show connectivity besides that there would lot of other family names created by local religion for Indian context having Indian origins/south east Asian origins/south Asian origins rather than Eurasian, middle east, etc.,

There is a gotra called "Nain", in ancient feudal terminology this word could have different meaning and pronunciation.
Then there is a place called "Nainital", in ancient feudal system often the children and women were shifted to mountains or after destruction of kingdoms and defeat of Armies the best place for children and women to hide were the mountains. Jats being "Tal+Han", i.e. Talhan, so after/during the wars most women and children shifted to mountain regions. This shift also might be due to ancient entry of these ancient tribes from the north/mountain passes in the Himalayas.

    "Historical facts":

The real historical facts are being phased out finished in the light of glorification of "Sanskrit, Hindi or other local Indian languages", which in linguistic context might be very new.
Besides that rise of monetary strength and other factors with religious sections, new rich and new educated people ensure that whatever is left of the real history can be easily manipulated and changed.

Good but how to overcome this challenge is the question put up by Burdak Ji.
Could you please suggest some way out Sir.
History is best when created, better when re-constructed and worst when invented.

Lot of the family names ending with words like "dal" i.e. "group", might be of very late origin, some might be created from travel, trade, wars, origins, migrations, etc.
Might be only few hundred years old words as compared to other ancient words that lot of family names connect to.
