    Joining river systems

Disasters happening to nature and in nature is nothing new but the time scale and the environment surrounding any natural disaster in natural conditions are very different from man made conditions, situations and changes.

One of the greatest mistakes that can be done is done by joining river systems. This is a short term approach with a long term disaster.

Ecosystems maintain fertility of the soil and natural floods in river systems is one of the natural ways of maintaining this fertility, with dams being built upstream the river system, this natural way of maintaining the fertility of the soil is finished. It also finishes marshlands which are essential for survival of the entire ecosystem or biome.

India with its limited resources, big population pressure an outdated system of decision making, etc., is heading straight for a wrong approach to any given path.
