Thumbs down bad reputation of 1 jat causes harm to rest

This is my first post but I have been a member for long time. I have been working in big corporation. My boss is Gujarati. I told him I was a Jat. He told me he would not have hired me if he knew that. He knew a jat who was working in a business (ran by jat's brother) and my boss's friend. The brother who was partner died. And the other partner my boss's friend found out that the jat brother who worked in the business was 'loose' with business money and using other relatives working in the same business to hide the misuse.
My boss told me this person's name. Some jat does bad other jat pays up even though I have never met that person.

The basic reason is that the country seems to be run by religious thought process.

Only few communities in masses have shed sweat and blood throughout ages to defend the country or produce food for the country, etc., value of life in India is not present as we see in everyday life. Majority of the sections of the people serving the country seem to be consumable items for certain sections of society. Really educated people are getting less and less, while a new monetarily rich class is emerging which seem to have almost no value for everyday life. Religion is gathering money and gold. Where is this gold going, no one knows. Thought process of the people of the country is inclined in such a way that life of a person does not matter but buying of gold does.

Discrimination starts from school level and goes up to dead level i.e. till the time a person is dead. One would even not know if results of examinations and competition were rigged or were true. So education for many becomes meaningless. With Information Technology, this discrimination becomes larger as people with huge monetary resources can easily manipulate the results. People trying to control personal lives of individuals increase with the rise in monetary power in uneducated class. With lawlessness, human life and individual lives will not matter in such a society.

Not only Jats but lot of the people in India might be facing a similar situation whereby their personal lives might be intruded into by unauthorized people, personal privacy is also an issue. Lot of uncontrollable crime might be happening with individuals, groups, etc., without their knowledge done by officials in good positions and criminals alike.
Lot of the people might be facing financial and job situations due to such unauthorized manipulation and hacking by other people, whereby other people might be trying to decide on finances and personal lives of individuals and families without their knowledge.

    Jai Chhotu Ram Bhai,

I share your pain but I partly disagree. It is the conspiracy of all these Jat haters to make you feel bad about your tribal identity. Please don't fall in to this abyss. You should have asked if you other Gujju have betrayed your boss.

    Good Luck in life.

Yes, the image of our community has been systematically given a bad publicity particularly during the last few years by vested interest using media by selecting isolated incidents or at times even alleging incidents.

But Jat continues to identify himself with his glorious past n stay proudly on the centre State of Indian society n polity without bothering his antigonists allegations.
So say openly I am Jat and enjoy your position in the corporation with sincerity n dedication to your duty.

The reputation of any community is built on toil, hardwork and perseverance of the entire community especially those in the elderly and leadership role. They are the ones who give direction in terms of values to the younger lot.

Unfortunately, for the Jat community after the greats like Ch. Chhotu Ram, Ch. Charan Singh, Ch. Devi Lal, Ch. Bansi Lal in the not too distant past, there has been nobody in the true sense who can donne the mantle of a popular mass leader from the Jat community. All the above mentioned leaders had a mass following not only among Jats, but also across the entire strata of society. They were loved and respected by one and all. Sh. Sahib Singh Verma had that spark in him and I am sure he would have risen to be a national level leader had fate been kind to him.

The last Jat leader in power was Sh. Bhupender Singh Hooda. However it can be said that his tenure in power has done more harm to the Jat community than any good. His govt. (both politicians and bureaucrats) was surrounded by favourites to whom all the fruits of power were given and the common man helplessly looked at the govt. dejected and felt cheated. It became more of a govt. of the, for the and by the rich and the powerful. As Anna Hazare said ' paise se satta and satta se paisa' It fits every political party and politician in India, but more so to the previous govt. in Haryana. While the Congress govt. kept sitting on the demand for reservation FOR FULL 10 YEARS while in power and in fact made the police fire and lathicharge innocent Jat protestors. Many cases were also registered. At the same time, while nothing much was being done for the Common Jat, the near and dear ones to the govt. projected a picture across the general population of the state that this (Congress) govt. favours Jats only. This created a feeling of alienation among the Non Jats and which ultimately resulted in the non-Jats voting for BJP as a viable alternative to a non-Jat leadership party. So, the end result was that Jats have been at the receiving end, both under a Jat and also under a non-Jat CM. Towards the fag end of the previous govt.'s 10 year tenure, when the state and centre elections were nearing, the state govt. formed a rag a tag commission to prepare a report for inclusion of Jats in OBC. It was KNOWN FROM THE START that such a decision would be struck down by the Courts as no proper research and commission report was prepared to back the decision of giving reservation. The Congress govt. had full 10 years to conduct a detailed research report on the condition of Jats in Haryana vis a vis Yadavs, Sainis, etc. But the Congress govt. kept sitting on the demand for full 10 years and in fact created a false impression that only Jats were being favoured when actually the condition of Jats was getting worse even when compared to Yadavs, Sainis in terms of lower landholdings, lesser and lesser representation in govt. jobs, etc. It was an open secret that almost all the parties in power irrespective of the caste of CM, have acted as commission agents where seats in govt. jobs and professional courses were sold or auctioned - the highest bidder getting the job - even a constable post being sold for 15 lacs. Except for temporary benefits such as higher MSP, loan waiver, etc, even Jat CM did not do much for the community except for creating a false impression and alienation among the non-Jats that only Jats are favoured whereas the reality was that the condition of (common) Jats went from bad to worse even under Jat CMs except the condition of those Jats who were the near and dear ones of those in power.

The fact and result of the entire discussion above is that the very mention of the word anywhere in India draws disdain. The word Jat is used for goondas, hooligans, etc. People use the term 'Jat jaise' in a very derogatory manner for anyone who does anything wrong. We boast of a rich history and tradition, but we have spoiled it all instead of building on the foundation of that history and tradition.

There are a few peculiarities of our community:
    1. We have huge inflated egos.
    2. We do not help fellow Jats reach the position that we have or higher up.
    3. We make too much noise if we know someone in high position whereas other communities get their work done silently without anyone knowing of any favour being done.
    4. We live in the past and do not think of the present or the future. We boast of the tall Jat leaders of the past. BUT what about the present or the future? No sense of direction or purpose for the community.
    5. We generally do not like to adapt or change with the time unlike others. Small example, even if we shift to a town, we will not try to learn English and the one who tries to, would be ridiculed as angrez, sahab, etc. Those who do not change and adapt with time perish for sure. Despite there being so many govt. jobs available in Delhi NCR, Jats have not been able to capitalize on that opportunity despite being so near to the Capital. People from such far off places as Bihar, Bengal, South come and take up those jobs.

For any mass movement towards the improvement of any community is for that community to organise and work together as a cohesive unit without making too much noise. Let us not become all noise and no substance. Rather let our success as a community speak for us!

I disagree with few of my brothers on this site, we do not have to instill fear in the mind of non Jats, but let us be so good as individuals and as a community in whatever we do that others respect us and want to follow us.

Thanks for the replies critical and supporting both. Met another jat some time ago. Started chatting. World is small! He had come to interview in a company and his interviewer was Indian too. Rejected as he named one of his jat relatives!. He did not tell me what his jat relative did. But other things he said shocked me. He said his jat relative put him up with a jat professor for days and this person and his wife verbally and psychologically abused him and when he asked to be given a ride to his University dorm to escape from their abuse this jat professor threatened him! When he tried to tell his jat relative this person told him to shut up telling him he wanted to use this jat professor! He said this jat professor and his wife continued to put him through one difficulty after other and his relative instead of listening and doing anything about this not only laughed, ignored his pleas for help but told him to continue seeking ‘help’ from this jat professor!
Badi detail mein bataa kar gaya hae aur bhi rishtedarron aur Indians kae baate mein.
Seems like some of these illustrous’ jat people are here on jatland.
waah bhi waah, kaise log haeen.

Ironic, you say so, as this jat who I met and mention in some of my recent posts is the one who interviewed with boss and did not get the job and told about his experiences(not saying this word in bad way, no disrespect to anyone) has kinda similar surname like yours!

yeh hae hae! His close relative came to interview and took his name, boss knew him. Boss was giving this person the job but then he asked boss if he knew his relative the one in post, boss did. Job offer refused! Few months back I met the same person who interviewed, and person was unhappy amd told me more that he had been victimized by him and came to regret taking his name in interview. Here a totally different image has been created about this person! Dm me if anyone wants to know more.

Sangwan, don't take any crap from any Gujju MF. During my college years in Los Angeles I was looking for part time job, went to this 7-11 owned by a Gujju. Minimum wage at that time was $5.25. He told me, he will give me the job to work at night, work 10 hour days, 6 days a week, fill out time sheet for 8 hours a day for 5 days and once I get paid, I will have to give him back .50c per hour back to him. I was so incensed I almost lost my composure and beat his A$$ to pulp. Fast forward 2 years later, after I graduated with Computer Science Degree (Masters) I interviewed with southland corporation they wanted to hire me I stipulated, if they get rid of this "Kamina" franchisee I will work for them, they launched hidden investigation and later gave him breach of contract, took his 7-11 away. I was about to start my job with them in Dallas Texas but Pentagon called me and as they say rest is history. Moral of the story is, don't compromise on your self respect, good and bad people are everywhere. If that fagot boss of yours had said that to me, I would say "Eat my Arse with spoon" and walk out on him. Life is too short to take any abuse.

What about abuse from other Jats? Should a Jat take abuse from other Jats? So I met the fellow the Jat who had interviewed with my boss. He is the relative of this Jat who used his own brother. He told me when he came to US this relative of his put him up with a Jat professor with whom he stayed for many days and this jat professor and his wife abused him. I asked him how? He said this Jat professor would make crazy faces at him, mock him, had him drink hard liquor, watch porn and his wife would insult him and he was not provided with food! This is Mehmaan Seva Jat Style! when he told them he wanted to leave and asked for ride to his university dorm this Jat professor refused him, threatened him! This Jat professor is member of this site. What kind of people are these?I think he should have gone to cops. And on top of this Jat relative of his told him to shut up, keep quiet because he wanted to use this Jat Professor! This relative is being praised here on this site as ‘humble and noble’ lol! What a Bad joke

is this himmet singh who provided jobs to his brother and even to his bro wife’s brother, his sisters children, got them settled in America, died prematurely and they refused to take his ashes back to India because he did not leave enough money for them?

Woh hae hae. These peoplee lived off him. He brought them to US, settled them, employed them, bought them homes cars, even gave dowries in marriage and they refused to take his ashes back to India. When he was alive this ‘humble and noble’ brother’s wife and her illiterate mother who came along with dowry, regularly insulted him! Why would he leave lots of money for people like these? What they are pretending to be, say what, kadyan the admin said ‘sir chootu ram’! The professor omitted real stuff.! Relatives dropped students at this professors home for few days and he insists they drink and watch porn with him! Then he made crazy faces to scare!! wonder how many students he has harassed this way some welcoming introduction to America, eh!. Terrible people. This is the problem here. You can read useless taunting reply by one of the admin and likes by his kind. No wonder jats have no unity. No wonder most about everyone has left this forum.
