    University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) is a national level exam conducted in order to select candidates for only Assistant Professor or both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. UGC/CSIR LS (NET) qualification is now mandatory for coaching in any University/college in India. Candidates who qualify as JRF are also eligible for lectureship.

    Yes, UGC NET exam is organized for the selection of candidates for assistant professor and JRF twice a year in June and December month.
    The NTA (National Testing agency) is the UGC NET exam conducting authority.
