So cleverly and cunningly woven presentation around some incidents and quotes, to malign the community. Such clever mixing of truth and untruth to create the intentional impact on the reader's mind is rarely seen. Surely the real purpose of the editor is not to highlight the real social issue( which is present in every caste in every corner of India. You name any caste where such incidents don't happen) but to create phobic sense about Jats and to reflect derogatory image of the community. This is a classical example of how Jat phobia has been created and sustained by very cunny elements of society. My real idea behind starting a thread on this "the Jat phobia in India" some time back was to sensitize the Jat intellectuals against such hidden, deep rooted conspiracy and bias against our community in some people's mind who express their sense of insecurity through such articles.
I'm ready to argue and defend, in any way chosen by whoever wants to argue over it, what i have said, and going to say that:
"In terms of good attributes, the Jat community is better than any non-Jat community; and in terms of bad attributes, they are less bad than any non-Jat community." Period.

Let me state the call to Jats given by our great ideal Sir Chhotu Ram about a century ago( allJats were Kisaan(farmers) at that time):
"a mere bhole kisaan meri do baat maan le,
ek le bolnaa seek, dusra dusman ko pahchaan le"

English translation: " O my innocent farmer, abide by my just two advices: one, learn to speak properly( i.e. be careful about what you say when talking to a nonJat); two, identify the real enemy of yours."

These lines are still very much needs to be reminded to our community. Identify the real enemies of our community- the enemies who have been sucking blood of Jats since ages, and still sucking; the enemies who have been parasites since time immortal. The enemies who have just used the Jats for their own advantage. The blood suckers who themselves ran away when invaded by outsiders, and used the Jats to fight against the invaders. They so cleverly misused Jats' guts, bravery and ability to get provoked , to save their own skin. And once the invader is defeated by blood of Jats, the same blood suckers started sucking the poor Jat's blood again.
The Jats have been sacrificing their life and blood since ages , and look what they got in return? Nothing except some verbal words of praise and probabily a metallic token. No India media will publish their heroic deeds; but definitely will keep publishing derogatory incidents about them - to maintain phobia. Their blood is still sucked, even today.
How many times and how many papers/magazines make sacrifies of Jat heroes as their head lines. They will definitely exorbitantly highlight bad incidents( adding all mirch masalaa to it), but will never write about the fact that every single day a young Jat newly married woman is breaking her bangles on her husband's dead body - the husband who sacrified his and his familty's today to save country's tomorrow; every single day a poor old farmer Jat is adding shoulder to his young son's corpe. How many papers/newspapers will write in the headlines about what kind of life is lived by the young widows of Jat soldiers who laid their life for the country, about the Jat woman who became widow even before coming out of her teens, about the Jat woman who couldn't even become mother and in a way sacrified all the future generations also. Will ever any writer go to the door of a Jat house and see how the poor old parents and a widow are fighting with life after their only son died for the country? will he/she ever write about what little or nothing was done by the country for this family?
There is too much to say but .......

On reading this link I have the following observations to make for your consideration and comment.
1.The journalists are as ignorant of the central issues here as are the pseudo politicians of our community.

2.Marriage in the same village or even the same gotra are unthinkable because the tradition is based on ancient scientific thought.

3.Modern genetics sience confirms that birth defects and congenital defects are much greater in cultures where inbreeding takes place either by social sanction or even by accident, or carelessness.

4.We do not require the guidance of these highly literate but poorly educated people who do not understand the instinct to protect ones ethnicity amongst a robust people whose very survival depends upon physical fitness and strength.

5.Societies go through cyclical phases of differentiation and polarity and consolidation on one hand and homogeniety and culture change and renaissance on the other. I believe both paradoxical processes are taking place at the present time, but today those who seek continuous improvement must be prepared for some form of culture change. For the rest it is economically not feasible to rock the boat in an era when rural communities are by and large bypassed by the flow of modern opportunities.

Very Real and Very Interesting indeed. It is also of great concern to some one who is interested welfare of Jat community. While all the stories here look real enough with little room for doubt the reactions could be more thought provoking.

    Efforts to bring this important issue to every readers knowledge is appreciated some of the observations do look biased or not entirely objective. Here is my version of interpretation and would love to read yours too;

Sir Chhotu Ram is sadly disappointed because Jats have not learned to speak or recognise the real enemy. Like rest of the community Jats too have become more materialistic and started to ignore their real strengths which are related to spirit (things which you do not see are much more important than the ones you can see). While in the past the emphasis was more on development of body, mind and spirit and people did follow simple life rules. Truthfulness, compassion, tolerance and charity were the qualities admired in the people and every parent tried to instill these qualities in their children. Where as now a days the emphasis is more on material things and artificiality. A person's worth is being measured by how big an army of followers he has or what are his/her possessions. With these changing values it is only natural to expect human beings with weaker spirits who are desparately fighting to save their artificial honour or ego. When a number of such individuals make combined decisions they too are full of hypocracy, hatred. Real justice, compassion and tolerance are seldom considered. When a person speaks lies for so long he starts believing in them that is the real tragedy. A sister ties Rakhi and asks the brother to help her in the hour of need, and what does that brother do to save his ego or family name, slaughter her like a lamb. What kind of code of condict has this person learnt and what sort of honour is he trying to save. Is it really worth saving. It is time to grow up and step in to 21st century. Apparently some of us are burying the heads in the sand and live in imaginary World. Results are obvious from the articles like we have seen before.

Instead of trying to shut up the critics We must concentrate on developing a more tolerant attitude towards life and teach the younger people the importance of being truthful with yourself and every one else. It is not an easy task but the alternate is horrible.

If we can not learn to speak it is not so bad but we must learn to be quiet. "If you do not have the strength to take some one's blessings you don't become so weak as to take some one's curses." Do no harm to others and our dear and near ones (what kind of a monster does it take to slaughter his/her own offspring). The enemy is within our heads and don't have to go far looking for it. Learn some thing from our culture and scriptures and you will be prompted to be more forgiving and less judging.

    Best Wishes to all

Words like "tolerance", "more forgiving", "less judging" looks good only on paper and in the world of philosophy, not in real life; and philosophy doesn't feed a hungry stomach. What these attributes have given to those who follow them? This country was slaved, invaded, looted and butchered since ages by outsiders - just because people of this country were singing songs of 'tolerance', 'more forgiving' and 'less judging'. Injection of these attributes has made this country and its communities impotent.
Why one should be less tolerant or less judging and more forgiving of injustice, untruth and something that is grossly wrong? One of the prime reason 'Mahabharata' battle happened because the elite and right minded people of that time became "less judging" and "tolerant" of wrong doings by Duryodhana etc. Had they stopped him in early stages of his doings there wouldn't have been so much bloodshedding.
In ancient times, the blood suckers of the society invented these words like 'tolerance' , 'non violant', 'less judging' etc. Using religion as the carrier they injucted these impotencies into rest of society's blood so that no one could be intolerant , no one could be judging and everyone could be forgiving of their blood sucking activites; and historically, farmers have suffered the most by following such doctrines.
History of the world is evident that those races/countries who have been more tolerant and less judging have suffered the most. And those who dared to oppose and challenge, those who were more voilent ruled and still ruling the world. Sorry to say but these words have been used as execuses to hide impotency and inability to oppose injustice/untruth.

Why one should be tolerant, less judging and more forgiving of something which is wrong/untrue/injust; and if something is good/just/true/just, these attributes are meaningless.

    SubhaChand ji and Rajesh Bhai,
Can you both please share your views what could be the best solution as per your thinking in the MuzzafarNagar case of Sonu Singh and Vishal Sharma.
    Thier Parents killed them.
What could be the better outcome in case of a more Educated JAT family would have handled this ?
"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent..."

    Ranvir Bhai,
The point here is not about those incidents. Point here is about existing bias/phobia and deep rooted conspiracy against the Jats, and it is sustained by those elements through such publications. Point here to note/understand is how some elements of truth are used to fabricate bad impression of the whole community. I never saw these elements publishing great stories/facts about Jats and thus labeling the whole community as great.
