The data about Bihar West Bengal Assam and Tamilnadu looks surprising..

First we don't find jats in Bihar Unless we include some other casts in to jatfold as Bhumihar but what is the rational behind that?

Secondly even if we include pallav decendants who are supposed to be parthian ajats the figures for Tamilnadu are highly inflated.

Simiarly what about Assam ,is there any hint of some jats in assam .

Jats of gujarat have totally been neglected where muslim Denneta and fakirani jats form a majority of kacch areas in adition to significant number of hindu jats.

Can we get more details about these figures?

    Narenderji,

I tried to find details but details are not available in this paper except constituency wise breakup. In other issue of Jat Bandhu fortnightly paper ,25 May 1996, It has given number of Jat voters in -
Gujarat ..... 3,00,000. This must be more.
    Karnataka.....2,00,000, again no details

I am also curious about figures of Bengal, Bihar, Asam,Tamilnadu etc.

Let us carry out some study or a survey for the exact figures of Jat population. These are round about figures based on verbal informations from members etc. During election times.

On my last visit to chandigarh I went to jat bhawan and read about JAT KING JHUDEV ruling tribal areas of jarkhand ,earlier a part of Bihar state,so..
Jats may be there though in small numbers.

However gujjar sites say that jhudev was a gujjar.

Again we find kundu in bengal and Orissa and Rathi as far as tamilnadu.

It will be of interest what is their identity today.
