JATs in Andhra Pradesh & Maharastra

(1). In south, it was a big challenge for Aurangjeb to win Golkunda Fort in Hyderabad. For this he was not getting ideas, finally he decided for GURILLA war . For this he nedeed people who could do it for him . He started a search for the people all over . Finally he founds JATs in and around DELHI , who could do this. He pleaded to them to fight for him , to which JATs agreed. An army of 700-800 JATs was formed. By showing amazing courage of bravery JATs conqured Golkunda Fort for him. After winning Golkunda Fort , Aurangjeb in happiness and for the security of fort gifted land to these JATs for settlement in Hyderabad and around. As the time passed , dynasties changed and land given to them decreased but the population increased. A time finally came , when the same JATs who won the Fort, their decedents became small farmer and labours.
Today there are around 40,000 JATs in Hyderabad from Ramdevguda to Nalagunda having history in their hearts but neither centre Govt nor state Govt has done anything for them . They are neither considered backward nor Telgu speaking people. Their Gottars are ... Gulia , Mathur , Khainwar , Nunwar , Jakodia , Byaare , Hatinzar , Durwasa etc. As their colour changed with time so changed their gottars , but in genes they have JAT blood.

(2). Everyone is aware of Meham 24si, This is khap of 24 villages of JATs which include other castes also. But the name JAT 22si is not known to many. A very few people know about it. Tha name of JAT 22si is based on historical fact. About 180 kms from Mumbai in Malegaon the teshil of Nasik Dist in Maharastra. There are around 22 small villages of JATs.
In 3rd battle of panipat, Peshwa Brahman Maratha brought around 4000 families with them. When they lost some families were killed and rest took refuge in the Fort of Maharaja Surajmal. Maharaja Surajmal, in the fiercy winter of 1761(jan) took care of injured and others. For the safity of the families while returning Maharaja Surajmal sent his soldiers with them. Who took them to their homes with respect and safity, which was far off from illusion at that time. Maratha Samaj so impressed by Maha raja Surajmal and his soldiers for the care and respect they gave them that they married their daughters to the soldiers who accompanied them. They(Soldiers) settled down there after marriage. Time pasted but today after 245 years, 22 villages are blooming in that area, Whose occupation is farming,. Same happened to their fate as what has happened to JATs in other part of the Country. There is no other example in world like the above one. This is a slap on the mouth of those who criticise Maha raja Surajmal.
The cine star Darmendra has built a high school in the name of his mother Sant Kaur Devi in tokhra village. For the first time in mumbai Darmendra has also built a JAT sabha and JAT bhawan. Every JAT should be pround on what Darmendra has done.
The Gottars of JATs staying in 22 villages are- Mann, Jakhar, Sihag, Sehrawat, Dhaiya, Bijaania, Jhinjar, Nimadiya,Punia, Gill, Beniwal, Sangwan(70 families) etc.

    Thanks for sharing point No.1

Regarding point No:2, i knew this a little.

But was it sure, that the jat's (the one's who had came alonwith peshwa maratha) married with the maratha's daughter's..??

if it was so, then how can we claim them as jat's.

and if we/they (the jat's of that time) accept them as jat's, then this concept of inter-caste marriage should have been abolished 245 years back..

    Please solve my doubt.

I've met one sehrawat n one beniwal in pune, and they were bahmann types..their peronality traits were different than ours...

This is a bit of an anomaly.

Aurangzeb's wars with the Jats are legendary, as is teh Jats opposition and resistance to him.

Why would the Jats be fighting for him?

What is the source for this information?

There are Jat villages in Andhra. They have mostly forgotten how they came there.

There were links between the of the Sarv Khap and forces such as the kingdom of Vijaynagar, and with the Maharatta forces.

In both cases Jats sent help in the form of men to train their armies, and also to fight along the, against the Muslim Moguls.

    To Satyendra's query:

    Jats follow a Patrilineal system.

Ladies who marry into jats, become jats and their offspring are Jats, with full rights.

The saying is ' Jat ke aayi, Jatni kehlayii"

    Jats in Maharashtra

The Jats had gone to some parts of Maharastra about 4 – 5 generations back. They are settled in the interior areas and doing cultivation. They came from states like Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana etc. Jats are dwelling in Nasik, Jalgaon, Dhuliya, Aurangabad, Amravati districts. The Jat villages in these areas are called ‘Bavisi’. The villages in Jat ‘Bavisi’ are:

Nasik – Tokada, Jalkoo, Rajmana, Palarde, Hatane, Saytarpara, Jatpara (Nimbayatpada), Bhutpara, Dapaura, Chinchagyaha, Nardana, Palasdara, Lakhane

Jalgaon – Pinjarpara (Ramnagar), Rajoon, Manur, Talonda

    Dhuliya – Kulthe

Aurangabad – Pardi, Anjangaon, Jalna, Lodhebari, Bamnod

Tokra (tehsil – Malegaon) in Nasik district is the main village of Jat Bavisi. This village is famous for cooperative societies in dairy. National leaders like Dara Singh, Dharmendra, Ram Niwas Mirdha etc have visited Tokra village. There is one taluka named Jat in Sangli district situated in south Maharashtra.

Jats live in other districts of Maharashtra also. The villages in these are Londha (लोंढा) in tehsil Chalisgaon (Jalgaon), Amrawti (Pardi Via Badnera), Bhusawal tehsil Bhusawal (Jalgaon), Chandrapur (Chandrapur), Vardha, Hinganghat, Anjangaon, Ripur, Kasarkheda, Akola, Khamgaon, Jatol.

like bhakad/bhakhar was converted into bhakhare, where antil was converted into antule.... n where rashtrakuta king is mentioned as balhara,,, there are no balhare in marathi..????

I'll advise burdak ji to make a list of marathi gots almost all of them (from marathas) are from Jat gots. like

    Dangi------Dange
    Antil-------Antule
    Panwar-----Pawar
    Solanki-----Solkar
    Sandhu/Sidhu/Sindhu-----Shinde
Bar-Gujar-----Gujar---Pratap Rao Gujar was Chief of Sivaji's army
Bains Jat/Bainsla Gujar------Bhonsle Maratha of Sivaji fame and Asha Bhonsle and Lata Mangeshkar are both Bhonsle

Gandas Jats of Mehrauli--------Gondse Maratha (Nathu Ram Gondse who killed mahatma gandhi)

    ..............

Even Maharashtra/Marathi is derived from Maha-Rathi means Great Rathi

Its Rathi/Rashtri/Rashtrika/Rashtrakuta variation and Rashtrakuta king himself was Jat of Balhara got as is mentioned by many Arab Historians.

I've not come across n e marathi having balhara/balhare got

burdakji, i feel that allahabad is named after ahlawat jats. dahiya gives ahlawat parallel to ahlwrdt, in europe.

n there allahabad is parallel to ilavardt, samudragupt named it as ahlawat

sanskrit equivalent of ahlawat is ilawart, gujjar-gurjar variation...

guptas the jats were fond of samskrit language, where court language was samskrit..

  11. #10
the only empire of jats who patronised samskrit, the dharan jats from muttra...

n its the place where from virjanand

    dayanad

no court in India spoke samskrit in court while imparting justice. n then this court of vikram n betal parted justice to every one..

    history is easy to understand....

where palimbothra of greek is not magadh (patliputra) but sangam at ahlawat (allahabad).

    Nice idea !
History is best when created, better when re-constructed and worst when invented.
