Anta (अंता/ अंटा) is a medium-size village in Safidon tahsil of Jind district in Haryana.

Location

Anta village is located at Safidon-Panipat road, some 6 km. away from Safidon town.

Population

According to 2011 census, Anta had a total population of 2407 persons. There are about 470 houses in the village.

History

This village was established by Chaudhary Sahab Singh Deswal of Madlauda village in 1800 AD when Raja Bhag Singh of Jind state offered him 9000 bighas of land here, due to courtesy shown to the Raja as guest of the Chaudhary.[1]
