Atela Kalan (अटेला कलां), is a village in Charkhi Dadri tehsil and district in Haryana. Atela Kalan is the oldest village in the foothill of Shivalik range of mountains and is the oldest among the trio-Atelas named separately as Atela Kalan, Atela Naya and Atela Khurd. Sangwan Gotra Jats inhabit in these three villages which are inhabited in a radius of about one kilometer but have three independent Gram Panchayats.

Atela kalan has one Government Primary School and has smallest population among the three.

The Atela Kalan village has population of 3302 of which 1771 are males while 1531 are females as per Population Census 2011.[1]
