Bhallata (भल्लाट) was kingdom in ancient India mentioned in Mahabharata (II.27.5) which was conquered by Bhimasena in his victory march of eastern countries.

History
- Bhallāta (भल्लात). — A king of the line of Bharata. He was the son of King Viśvaksena and father of King Bṛhadaśva. [3] [4]
- Bhallāṭa (भल्लाट).— A place of habitation in ancient India. Bhīmasena conquered this land during his victory march. (Śloka 5, Chapter 30, Sabhā Parva, Mahābhārata). [5] [6]

Sabha Parva, Mahabharata/Book II Chapter 27 mentions the countries subjugated by Bhimasena. Bhallata (भल्लाट) is mentioned in Mahabharata (II.27.5). [9]....And that bull of Bharata race brought under control in this way diverse countries. And endued with great energy and in strength the foremost of all strong men, the son of Pandu (Bhimasena) next conquered the country of Bhallata (II.27.5), as also the mountain of Suktimanta that was by the side of Bhallata. Then Bhima of terrible prowess and long arms, vanquishing in battle the unretreating Suvahu the king of Kashi, brought him under complete sway.
भल्लाट
विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[10] ने लेख किया है ...भल्लाट (AS, p.662): 'एवं बहुविधान् देशान् विजित्ये भरतर्षभः, भल्लाटम् अभितॊ जिग्ये शुक्तिमन्तं च पर्वतम्'-- महाभारत सभा पर्व 30,5. भीमसेन ने पूर्व दिशा की दिग्विजय यात्रा में इस देश को विजित किया था. इसका नाम शुक्तिमान् पर्वत के साथ तथा काशी और विंध्याचल की उत्तरी शैलमाला के बीच का भाग रहा होगा. संभव है यह जिला मिर्जापुर (उत्तर प्रदेश) के निकटवर्ती भूभाग का नाम हो. कल्किपुराण में भी इसका उल्लेख है.
