Bhamra (भामरा) , Bamrah , Bumra and Bhambra is a Jatt clan found in Punjab region of India. Bhamra or Bhamda is a Bhuiyar community clan found in North India Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajsthan, Delhi.

Location

Bhambra are found in the parts of Punjab. Whereas Bhamra or Bhamda, Bamrah and Bumra are found in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi.

Jassa Singh Ramgharia (Bhambra)

Jassa Singh Ramgarhia (1723–1803) of Bhambra clan of jatt was a prominent Sikh leader during the period of the Sikh Confederacy. He was the Commander of the Ramgarhia Misl (or Confederacy). Detailed accounts of his life vary

भामरा गाँव में गोपीचंद भृतहरि ने तपस्या की । यहाँ के जाटों के घर में शादी थी । उस पर निमंत्रण दिया गया था । लेकिन समय पर दुबारा आमंत्रित करना भूल गए । शाम को याद आया तो बासी खाना लेकर गए । क्षमा मांगी परन्तु तपस्वी नाराज हो गए और श्राप दिया कि इस गाँव में जाट जाति नहीं पनपेगी । यहाँ वर्तमान में कोई जाट नहीं है । यह शोध का विषय है ।[1] भामरा गाँव मे आज भी भरथरी आश्रम है।[2] ('अर्चना': पृ.106)
