Bhimakshi

Bhimakshi (भीमाक्षी नदी) river flows in Sabarkantha district, Gujarat, India. The confluence of three small rivers (Triveni Sangam); namely Hiranyakshi, Bhimakshi and Kamakshi; is located Khedbrahma.[1]

History
Khedbrahma is situated on the banks of Harnav river. The town is connected with mythological history and has been pilgrim site for centuries. The confluence of three small rivers (Triveni Sangam); namely Hiranyakshi, Bhimakshi and Kamakshi; is located here.[2] These rivers are also known as Hiranyaganga, Bhimashankari and Kosambi respectively.[3] Harnav river is also referred as Hiranyaksh or Harnai river.[4] After the confluence, the river is known as Harnav which empties in reservoir of Dharoi dam built on Sabarmati river down stream. Harnav river divides the town in north and south parts.[5]
Bhrigu rishi ashram is situated at this place. [6]
भीमाक्षी नदी
भीमाक्षी नदी (AS, p.672) : भीमाक्षी नदी खेड़ाब्रह्मा के निकट हिरण्याक्षी और कोसंबी नदियों के संगम पर इनसे मिलती है। भीमाक्षी नदी के संगम पर भृगु का आश्रम बताया जाता है।[7]
