Bhuttar (भुट्टर)[1] Bhotar (भोटर) is Jat Gotra in Punjab.
History
Rama, the ancestor of the Pattiala family, was the second son of Phul. Rama married Sabi, the daughter of a Bhuttar zamindar of Nanun, who bore him six sons, Duna, Subha, Ala Singh, Bakhta, Ladha, and Budha. [2]
Distribution
Bhuttar population is 1,380 in Patiala district.[3] In Gurdaspur district the Bhuttar population is 1,146. [4] In Firozpur district the Bhuttar population is 3,600. [5]
