Capt NS Ahlawat
A brave Jat Soldier who laid down his life for the country, he belonged to village Deeghal in district Jhajjar, Haryana and followed the tradition of the family. Son of Maj Ran Singh, he studied at Sainik School & joined Army. Got commissioned in 15 Grenadiers and straightaway went for 1971 Indo-Pak war.
He won Sena Medal for his bravery.
On 28 November 1974, he laid down his life while fighting with insurgents in Nagaland, in an effort to save his soldiers.
On Republic Day 1976, Capt. NPS Ahlawat was awarded Shaurya Chakra (Posthomously).
