Ch. Sahib Ram Sihag son of Chaudhary Lekh Ram Sihag belonged to Village Chautala in Mandi Dabwali tahsil in District Sirsa of Haryana. He was elected Member of pre-partition Punjab Assembly from Hisar Rural General seat as a Congress nominee first in 1937, and then in 1946.
Family
Ch. Sahib Ram Sihag was the elder brother of Chaudhary Devi Lal, former Deputy Prime Minister of India. Sahib Ram had two children - daughter Chander was married to Karnal MP Mohinder Singh Lather and a son Surjeet Singh. His grandson Captain Amardeep is married to Priyanka Singh Sihag daughter of Dr. Yoganand Shastri and grand daughter of Chaudhary Hira Singh of Delhi.
