Chomal (चौमाल) Chamal (चामल)[1][2] Chaumal (चोमाल) is gotra of Jats found in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Punjab. They are found in both Hindu Jats and Sikh Jats. Most of their population belongs to Hinduism.

Origin

History

Chamal (चामल) Jat clan of Sikhs in Amritsar, Punjab. In Rajasthan commonly called Chomal (चौमाल) Jat clan of Hindus (majorly in Laxmangarh, Sikar). In Rajasthan, they are in the field of Farming, Education and Tyagi. This Jat clan also found in State Gujarat. [3]
