Chaphal (चाफल) is an ancient pilgrim in Maharashtra. It is associated with Ramdas (born 1608), who was an a spiritual leader and guide of Shivaji, the founder of the Marathi Empire. Ramdasa wandered throughout India before establishing a temple at Chaphal.

विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[1] ने लेख किया है ...चाफल (AS, p.332) महाराष्ट्र का प्राचीन तीर्थ स्थान है, जिसका सम्बन्ध 'महाराष्ट्र केसरी' छत्रपति शिवाजी के गुरु समर्थ रामदास से रहा है। इस स्थान पर शिवाजी ने समर्थ रामदास से प्रथम भेंट की थी और यहीं पर वे उनके शिष्य बने गये थे। चाफल में समर्थ रामदास ने अपना एक मठ भी स्थापित किया था।
