Chokha Ka Bas (चोखा का बास) is a village in Sikar tahsil of district Sikar in Rajasthan.

History

This village was settled by Chokha Ram Jat around 1400 AD, before this the area was included in the oldest village Kadma Ka Bas.

Population

As per Census-2011 statistics, Chokha Ka Bas village has the total population of 1181 (of which 616 are males while 565 are females).[1]

Notable persons

  • Ramnath Kaviya - A famous poet. Author of literary book dropadivinay, uncle of famous poet Gopal Das. This village is birth place of Gopal Das. Gopal Das was poet of kaviya branch and born in Charan family. [2]
