Deepak Karwasara

Deepak Karwasara is an IIT-IIM graduate hailing from Barmer district in the western border region of Rajasthan state. Deepak gained his initial school education in Barmer. In year 2006, he aced IIT-JEE examination with an All India Rank(AIR) of 73 thereafter pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Delhi, one of the most prestigious engineering institutions in the world. Later he joined technology giant Oracle at Bangalore in the server technology division. In year 2012, Deepak took admission in IIM Bangalore where he pursued his MBA. He was awarded pre-placement offer by a top-tier global management consulting firm based on his exceptional performance during the summer internship.

Coming from a socially active family working to resolve the problems of the masses, Deepak also had a natural inclination towards social service. His grandfather Late Sh. Tagaram Choudhary served as Member of Legislative Assembly(MLA) from Barmer Headquarters. Late Sh. Choudhary was the 'Voice of Farmers' in this drought-hit Thar desert region. Deepak has also been associated with multiple social causes since his childhood days. He carried the same spirit during his stays at Delhi and Bangalore. But the major turning point in his life came when he decided to move back to Barmer to serve people in his native area while continuing his entrepreneurial efforts. Since then he has been dedicatedly meeting people in this remote area of Rajasthan, trying to understand and resolve their problems. Deepak is also an active sportsperson. He has represented Rajasthan in Table Tennis at national level and currently plays Lawn Tennis in Barmer during his leisure time. His other interests include Photography and Traveling.
