Devendra Singh (Saain)(देवेन्द्र सिंह सांई) is a senior IPS officer in Rajasthan. He retired on 30.6.2014 from the post of DIG (security) Police Head Quarters (Jaipur). Rajasthan.

Early life

He was born at village Bhattu Kalan in district Fatehabad (Haryana) on 1.7.1954. After that he has settled at Purani Abadi (Ganganagar), Rajasthan. He is the eldest son of Chaudhary Ram Chander Saain

Education

He had his schooling at government multipurpose Sr.Secondary School Ganganagar. He did M.SC. at SGN Khalsa College Ganganagar. He was a Gold Medalist in M.SC. University Of Rajasthan.He also did LL.B. from S.D.College Sriganganagar(Rajasthan).He was a merit holder in LL.B. (University of Rajasthan)

Achievements

Devendra Singh is an honest,upright and very competent police officer. He has been awarded Police Medal by President of India for his distinguished services.He has served in insurgency hit area of Manipur for maintaining peace. He was also deployed for communally riots hit Aligarh town of Uttar Pradesh for restoring peace.He was also deputed in Peace Keeping Force of United Nations by govt of India for maintaining peace in Yugoslavia (Europe). He has worked as SP of dacoits prone district Dholpur.He has also worked successfully as Superintendent of Police of politically sensitive district of Dausa in Rajasthan.
