Dhanana
Dhanana (धनाना)/(धणाणा) is a large village in Bhiwani district of Haryana, under Bhiwani tehsil.

Location
It is near Badesara village. Dhanana is near border of Rohtak district and can also be accessed from Maham, Rohtak.
Founders
This is the ancestral village of Ghanghas Gotra. Ghanghas clan Chauhan ruler Jatu's son was Harpal and Harpal's son was Bilan, who founded Dhanana. [1]
Jat Gotras
History
Thakur Deshraj[2] writes that Ghanghas Jats had an independent state in Dhanana. This state had 900 sawars always ready for war. In their neighbourhood there was a Rajput village named Bapora. Bapora Rajputs had accepted paying tax to Delhi Badshah but Ghanghas Jats of Dhanana did not accept this proposal of paying any tax to the Badshah. Thakur Deshraj has mentioned about a song prevalent in the area which reveals this fact and is as under:
- हरियाणा के बीच में एक गाँव धणाणा ।
- सूही बांधे पागड़ी क्षत्रीपण का बाणा ।।
- नोसै नेजे भकड़ते घुड़ियन का हिनियाना ।
- तुरई टामक बाजता बुर्जन के दरम्याना ।।
- अपनी कमाई आप खात हैं नहीं देहि किसी को दाणा ।
- बापोड़ा मत जाणियो है ये गाँव धणाणा ।।
I think there is not a single family of Panghal gotra in this village. Panghal gotra is dominant in the neighbouring village Talu Dhanana also known as Mitathal-Dhanana or Talu Dhanana. Dhanana is fatherly village of Ghanghas gotra. All Ghanghas jat of India relate themselves to Dhanana. In 1976-77 Dhanana vill. was leader of Khap panchayats of Haryana. Ch. CharanSingh (Ex.P.M. India Govt.) came Dhanana & address a Big rally. Jatai & Sukhpura are also Pure Ghanghas gotra neighbouring Vill. Dhanana.
इतिहास
जयपुर रियासत के शेखावाटी भाग में गूगौर और बागौर नाम के दो गाँव थे। इनके स्वामी जयपरतनामी चौहान थे। जयपरतनामी के 4 पुत्र हुये 1. जाटू, 2. सतरोल, 3. राघू, और 4. जरावता. जाटू का विवाह सिरसा नगर के सरोहा गोत्री ठाकुर की पुत्री के साथ हुआ। जाटू के दो पुत्र हुये पाड़ और हरपाल। पाड़ ने राजली ग्राम बसाया जो अब जिला हिसार में पड़ता है। [p.11] राजली सारा जाटों का गाँव है जिसके स्वामी भी जाट हैं। हरपाल ने गुराणा गाँव बसाया जो राजली के पास ही है। यह ग्राम भी जाटों का है। [3]
हरपाल के 5 पुत्र हुये – 1. राणा, 2. आब्भा, 3. महीपाल, 4. लाखा, 5 बीलण. बीलण की संतान का धनाना गाँव है। बीलण हरपाल का 5 वां पुत्र था। धनाना गाँव सारा जाटों का है और जिला हिसार में है । बीलण ने अपनी साली के साथ कराव कर लिया था वह राजपूत संघ से अलग होकर पुनः जाट संघ में सामिल हो गया। राजपूत लोग उससे घृणा करने लगे। [p.14] बीलण और महिपाल परस्पर सहोदर भाई थे। वे हरपाल के पुत्र और राजा जाटू के पौत्र थे। महिपाल की संतान राजपूत संघ में ही रही। बीलण की संतान जाट संघ में आ गई। [4]

- Lakhmi Chand Hawaldar (2643527) - Veer Chakra (posthumous), DOB:10.5.1942, From Dhanana, Bhiwani, Haryana, Father:Paras Ram, Nomination: 10.5.1960, Award Date 11.9.1967. Unit:2 Grenadiers. हवलदार लखमी चंद, 11 सितंबर 1967, चीनियों से झड़प के समय नाथुला के दक्षिण किनारे पर, एक ब्राउनिंग सेक्शन की कमान कर रहे थे। चीनी सैनिकों की गोलीबारी से एक शैल ब्राउनिंग मशीनगन टुकड़ी पर गिरा, जिससे हवलदार लखमी चंद सहित सभी लोग जख्मी हो गए। दाहिने कंधे से बहुत खून बहने पर भी वह ब्राऊनिंग मशीनगन को एक खुले किनारे पर ले गए और तब तक चीनी सैनिक पर गोलीबारी करते रहे जब तक कि मीडियम मशीनगन की एक बौछार से उनकी घटनास्थल पर ही मृत्यु हो गई। इस कार्रवाई में हवलदार लखमी चंद ने अनुकरणीय साहस तथा दृढ़ निश्चय का परिचय दिया। [5]
