Ekta Chaudhary
Ekta Chaudhary (एकता चौधरी), the charming 22 year old from Delhi was crowned Miss India Universe 2009 in a glittering ceremony held in Mumbai. Standing tall at 5′9.5″ and weighing 55.5kg,she will represent the country at the global beauty pageant later this year. Ekta who is daughter of business woman Rita Chaudhary came on top amongst many beauties from all across India. She is aDelhi girl and her native village is named Ayaadnagar located near Hapur in Ghaziabad district in Uttar Pradesh.
Ekta Choudhry is the winner of the prestigious Pantaloons Femina Miss India Universe 2009 title. She is the grand daughter of Delhi's first chief minister Chaudhary Brahm Prakash Yadav. Ekta was the winner of the pageant. Pooja Chopra and Shriya Kishore won the Miss India World and Miss India Earth titles respectively. Ekta represented India at the Miss Universe 2009 competition on August 23, 2009 in Nassau, Bahamas but failed to make the final cut as one of the top 15 contestants. She has returned to India to continue her journey as Miss India Universe.
