Why Jats are not Entrepreneurs and National Politician - But argumentative enough
Reason for Backdrop -
Jats are most secular, hard working, self sustained and farming community in India. They devoted their most of resources on livelihood food security for their family and nation. In the course of time, agriculture is no more a profitable business. Due to this factor, most of them are considered a deprived community in intellectual and business circle in India and isolated high profile sphere of country.
Lack of education, awareness and social backdrop significantly affected the individual life of JATS, and also used by some forward JAT brothers (their own community leaders).
After independence, situation somehow changed or some of them got opportunities to look out-ward opportunities and thanks to Indian defense forces, people from hinterland joined low-profile jobs in Indian army, and other activities. They interacted with other fellow collegues, but they were concentrated in packets of hinterland (some districts in Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab). Other developmental activities like food and national security molded natural resources management, development of irrigation and mechanization in agriculture somehow partially improved community's living conditions.
A section of society, which gained much from developmental activities, is aware of national politics. This section came out with new banner “Jat politics”, emerged some political contractor (Jat Leader) (locally call them Thakedhar’s of Jats), these Thakedhar’s no doubt, were more advanced than others, something contributed to the social setup of jat. Thus, a political leader never feels that community development is essential but they are more aware about their personal benefit, not the community as whole, expects very few. Because even these handful of JAT leaders themselves don’t know how to realize their power and respect but inclined towards individual respect and caught by contemporary leaders in India politics. That is why presently, we don’t have an effective national leader from Rajasthan, UP, AP in mainstream politics of nation because even their own brothers and sisters don’t want to support them because they are argumentative enough to defend their own community people.
This development politics created rivalry and competition within the Jat community and other community people use them as a weapon of “divide and rule” politics still ruling over them. This can be proved by the present national scenario no national level political leader can affect the mainstream politics and still we are at embryo stage. Although this embryo stage politics has success in their account like, OBC reservation. But that is I think our combined fight against our legal right on socio- economic ground which was realized by whole community against deprivation, otherwise we could have got it in 1993.
This is the learning lesson to us we should unite, forget individual benefit and develope a strong vibrant mass whicmay comprise with techocrats, intellectuals, journalists and socio-eco-politicians which can act as a guiding force for our common benefit. In due course of time, we can contribute in development politics of nation, without contractor (thakedhar’s Jat leader).
